Hi, it has been a long time since I last posted blog!

The state of emergency declaration was lifted in Japan, including Kyoto, so we might get back our usual life little by little. We, Kyoto Apartment had to decline the request from the customers who would like to move in from the begining of April because of corona virus.... Now, we can let you move in our shared house since the state of emergency declaration was lifted finally!✨ We are sorry to make you wait.
We can also offer you studio apartment, so please feel free to contact us😄

Hi,this is Chika!!
How did you spend New Year Holidays?
We hope everyone spend a great time😁
Anyway,I went to AWAJI-SHIMA(淡路島) in Hyogo-prefecture during New Year Holidays since I'm from the island.
It takes about 2~2.5hours by car from Kyoto city with the highway.
I spent with my family and ate dinner made by my parents.(photo①②③)
And Photo④ attached in this blog is Akashi-kaikyo-ohashi which is conecting the main land and Awaji-Shima.
AWAJI-SHIMA is surrounded by a lot of beautiful nature ,so it is full of tourists all year long.
My perents house is close to the beach named Ohama(大浜) and mountain nemed Mikumayama(三熊山).
So when I was child,I often went there with my friends after school.
I really recommend you to go there for a trip since we can eat fresh ingredients such as fish or vegetables from
AWAJI-SHIMA.
Actually,my friends family came to AWAJI-Shima from Kyoto during Oshogatsu.
And we went to my parent's restaurant to eat "Fugu"(ふぐ).(Photo⑤⑥)
Fugu from Awaji-shima is very popular in Japan.
When you come there,you should try!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! ✿ This is Airi!

Today, we would like to introduce about Japanese New Year Holiday! ★ミ★ミ
In Japan, we have a custom of eating "Osechi Ryouri" (Japanese New Year Food) with family on New Year's Day.
The picture is "Osechi Ryouri" which my mother made. (Not so gorgeous this year...)

We also ate "Ozouni"(お雑煮) but toppings and tastes vary from region to region.
"Ozouni" my mother made was Kyoto style which is using White Miso(白味噌) and Japanese red Kintoki carrot(金時人参) so the soup is very white and cloudy like Tonkotsu Soup. ♥
However, in Kanto region, "Ozouni" is using Japanese clear soup like Osuimono(お吸い物) and it is totally different from Kyoto's one.
In Tottori Prefecture, it is said that people eat "Zenzai"(ぜんざい) as Ozouni on New Year's Day.(I can't believe that!)
It is very interesting that there are big differences from region to region! ^^♩♫♩♫

During New Year Holiday, we used to play with "Fukuwarai", "Takoage" and "Karuta" with my cousins and brother when we were children.☄☄☄
Those are Japanese traditional games, but I am wondering if current children know how to play with them recently.

On January 2nd, I went to "Fushimiinari Taisha" for "Hatsumoude"(初詣). ⛩⛩⛩⛩⛩⛩
We Japanese call the first visit to the shrines or temples, "Hatsumoude", and do it as a tradition.
I took a fortune slip and it said "good luck after bad luck ✸ " so I do not know if it is good or bad. Lol
And then, as the fortune slip told me, from the next day, I got the cold and had a high fever for 3 days(bad luck came to me soon),
so I think that good luck is getting close to me, maybe!Lol

Please take care not to catch cold and flu!!! ★

皆さんは、どのようなお正月を過ごされましたか？★ミ★ミ

今回のブログは海外の方へ向けての内容となりますが、
日本のお正月には、家族そろって「お節料理」を食べる習慣があります。
お雑煮も頂きましたが、お雑煮って、地方によって全く味や具が違うんですよね～！
井口家のお雑煮は、京都ならではの白みそと金時人参を使った京風のお雑煮です♥
しかし関東では、京都とはまったく違って、和風だしを使った透き通ったお雑煮を食べられるようです。
なんと鳥取では、「ぜんざい」をお雑煮として食べるとか、、、？！(美味しそうだけど信じられません！)
日本の中でもこういった違いがあるのは面白いですね～^^♩♫♩♫

お正月と言えば、小さい頃は親戚の子供たちと一緒に、
「福笑い」「凧あげ」「かるた」など色々と遊んだものです☄☄☄
これらは日本の昔から伝わる遊びなのですが、今の子供たちは凧あげとかするんでしょうかね？
一体何して遊ぶんでしょうか？Nintendo Switchとか？

1月2日は、かの有名な、伏見稲荷大社へ行ってきました！⛩⛩⛩⛩⛩⛩
日本では年明けに初めて神社へお参りすることを「初詣」と言います。
おみくじを引きましたが、「凶のち吉✸」という、何とも微妙な結果でした。笑
そして、おみくじが的中したかのように、その翌日から3日間高熱が出ましたが(すぐに不運が)、
きっと、これは幸運が私に近づいているということなんだと信じています！笑

Now, there are people who came from Taiwan, Japan, Switzerland, Canada, Argentine are staying.
The other day, they enjoyed to cook and eat Gyoza at "Taiwan Party"! 🌟🥂🥟
(It looks really fun and delicious! I wanna live in this shared house to join...! ♥ )

It is wonderful that all the residents in this shared house are friendly! ^^♪

　Speaking about Japanese food, you might think of "Tempura", "Sushi", "Okonomiyaki"?★
We can eat "Okonomiyaki" with reasonable price but Tempura feels like a little bit rich and expensive food in Kyoto.
(To name one of the famous one, I think of "Endou(圓堂)"...I wanna go there when I become in 40s!)

　So today, I would like to introduce about my favorite casual tempura restaurant/bar!
Actually, I took my friend's friends who came from US to this restaurant, and they were satisfied with the food and atmosphere!♥^^

　The atmosphere of this restaurant is very Japanese and nice, we can relax there!＊
There are various different ingredients of tempura, and you can order what you want!
(You can try "Natto" Tempra if you are interested in it and have a brave! Actually, I really like it!)
Each Tempura is 30yen ~ 300yen so we think this restaurant has good cost performance!!!♪
You can eat Tempura with some flavors of salt or Tendashi.(天だし)
And also, you can eat Oden which suit for this cold season in Kyoto!♥
Of course every food is very tasty!♥
The master is very funny and interesting person, and he make me smile every time I visited there!★^^

We really do not like this season however we would like to recommend a restaurant which makes you
warm from inside!!
The name of the restaurant is "Muro".(『おでんと釜飯 ムロ』).
You can eat Oden which is a type of Japanese stew🍢
Oden is a hot dish,so it is common to eat in the cold season.
There are the various besic ingredients of Oden such as Konjac,boiled eggs and Japanese radish.
Other than these kinds,there are some rare menu like a fruits tomato and you can eat with melting cheese.
The taste is yummy and the soup is very creamy😋
And if you love the healthy food ,I really recommend it!
