The school has been established with the aim of impart
ing quality education and to build strong moral character among the young lives in the Eastern Coalfields belt area. The excellent results on and off the campus by our students clearly indicate how the school is impacting the society. Today the school can boast of a strength of 1850 students, 71 teaching and non-teaching staff members, 25 Grade IV staff, well equipped science laboratories and library, a spacious hall to accommodate about 150 board-examinees, well ventilated classrooms along with a conference room, modernized computer rooms, clean and hygienic toilets and last but not the least playgrounds with a basket-ball court, and an open-air stage to host the school functions.All this was indeed not achieved over-night. This baby was nurtured with love and it blossomed into Assembly of God Church School
An agreement was made between the ECL authorities and the Assembly of God Church Mission headed by Mrs. Anita Aindinyatz, the Founder Member who is at present the principal of Bethany School, Vishakapatnam. Late A.K Malvea took over as the Principal of this institution and steered the school through thick and thin. Under his able leadership and his fond attachment with the school, the school attained great heights. The Council of Indian School certificate Examination , Delhi granted affiliation to the school for I.C.S.E.in 1994. In 1998 the science and commerce stream of I.S.C was introduced and was granted affiliation the same year. Late A.K.Malvea can rightly be called the ‘Architect of A.G.Church School,Ukhra.’ As the school continued to grow from strength to strength receiving guidance and direction from this wonderful administrator..The school is presently headed by Mrs.U.Rao, Principal and has reached dizzy heights. The Principal strives to restore a congenial working environment in the school with a missionary spirit, keeping in mind the progress and welfare of the Staff and students. At the Assembly Of God School, Ukhra nothing is left to chance. Good intentions are converted to actionable plans – for all facets of holistic education, allowing sufficient freedom for joyful participation and individuality. The school attempts to give a chance to grow through these activities, creating an environment for good scholastic performance as well as all round development of the child-- it is as much a matter of inculcating confidence in self as application..Failures are as important as successes. They teach ‘what not to do’ and show how others have been successful, in the quest for knowledge. As the A.G. family continues to bask in warmth and glory, we are reminded of Martin Luther who rightly said:
