Back to 2018 when fondant cakes were all in hype no that they aren't now but I feel people have moved on from fondant to semi fondant or cream cakes ....
This my dad and bro's birthday cake ...made by which was half chocochip cake and half butter scotch. Only the figures made of fondant were added to the cake rest of it was cream cake.

As you can see it is a make shift cake!
This was one situation where we thought it was just the 4 of us celebrating a birthday but ended up being a bit more .. so the immediate fix was to order in another cake but we didn't want to eat a cake as we already had bento cake with blueberry compote!
So instead i ordered a red velvet ice cream cake and then we just stacked it up ....
It was so last min that we didn't even take out the under sheet ..

Ps. It was husband approved on these sunny days I just wanted it to be something nice and refreshing and he wanted it to be sweet. Which it was but less apparently but good👍.

These were so yummy and nice... Hot out of the oil is a refreshing snack that i will go for every time I get a chance to eat them .

We have memories with from my friend ending up stabbing the cake at her birthday to my husband getting it for me on my birthday....all difference memories but the same cake 🎂

Dal Pakwan is a traditional Sindhi dish that combines two components: dal (lentil curry) and pakwan (crispy fried bread). The lentil curry is made from a mixture of soaked and cooked lentils seasoned with a blend of spices like turmeric, cumin, and green chili.

On the table:
Kobari annam (coconut rice)
Onion carrot raita
Chicken curry
Panner butter masala
Dadojanam (curd rice)
Saggubiyam payasam (sabudana payasam)

If you wonder how to make so much food and not feel tired then .... Simply pre prep your gravies , roast your chicken the night before in the air fried for the tikka effect and to reduce your cooking time in the morning.
Same for panner. Assemble everything like mix your chicken and gravy and cook in the morning, same for panner, cook your rice fresh, same with raita, payasam is easy and if you want to serve it hot make it on that day itself else if you feel like serving it like a pudding prep it night before.

First Varalakshmi vratam puja was so special and I decided to make a few prasadams ....
Marichi annam (miriyala rice)
Gudannam (bellam rice)
Gulab jamun
Khova kaja (a friend of our got it for us from nellore )
prasadam Senagalu ( stirr fried black chana)

I know it might sound a lot but all these are quiet easy to prep and make if you plan them wisely.
