TARTE AUX POMMES CLASSICAL FRENCH
APPLE TART🍏
This classic French Apple Tart (Tarte aux Pommes) gives you a double dose of apples. It begins with a pre baked Sweet Pastry Crust (Pate Sucree) which has a wonderfully crisp texture and a sweet buttery flavor. Next, comes a layer of lightly sweetened apple sauce that is topped with artfully arranged apples slices.
HISTORY:
⭐️During the Renaissance, pastry chefs in France and Italy began experimenting with new ways to make apple tarts. They added cream, eggs, and even cheese to the filling, creating a rich and decadent dessert that was enjoyed by the upper classes. One popular variation was
the tarte tatin, which was invented in the late 19th century by the Tatin sisters in France.
⭐️Legend has it that they accidentally dropped an apple tart while trying to flip it over, and in a stroke of genius, they decided to serve it upside down. The result was a caramelised apple tart that was so delicious it became a classic French dessert.
