Fraisier cake is a classic french strawberry cake made with two layers of genoise sponge, simple syrup, Crème Mousseline and the iconic strawberry halves along the sides.

⭐️What is the history of the cake?

The fraisier as known today was created only in 1966 by Gaston Lenôtre. He made a strawberry cake with a sponge cake punched with kirsch, buttercream, and fresh strawberries, then called Bagatelle, in reference to the gardens of Bagatelle located close to Paris.

Savarin is a classic French pastry treat, also widely known as babà alla francese (French-style babà) due to its dough similarity with the most famous sweet treat of Parthenopean tradition. It takes its name from French gastronome and author Brillat-Savarin, and can also be found in kirsch or rum-spiked syrup versions.

APPLE TART🍏

This classic French Apple Tart (Tarte aux Pommes) gives you a double dose of apples. It begins with a pre baked Sweet Pastry Crust (Pate Sucree) which has a wonderfully crisp texture and a sweet buttery flavor. Next, comes a layer of lightly sweetened apple sauce that is topped with artfully arranged apples slices.

HISTORY:
⭐️During the Renaissance, pastry chefs in France and Italy began experimenting with new ways to make apple tarts. They added cream, eggs, and even cheese to the filling, creating a rich and decadent dessert that was enjoyed by the upper classes. One popular variation was
the tarte tatin, which was invented in the late 19th century by the Tatin sisters in France.
⭐️Legend has it that they accidentally dropped an apple tart while trying to flip it over, and in a stroke of genius, they decided to serve it upside down. The result was a caramelised apple tart that was so delicious it became a classic French dessert.
