The new located in Blackwattle Bay and is touted as an iconic waterfront destination in Sydney, offering fresh seafood, restaurants, cafes etc. After having a stroll around and looking at the varied dining options, we chose to eat at โ๐ด๐๐๐โ - offering modern Chinese and Seafood dishes.
They had just 2 soup options on the menu and we ordered both. ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ก๐ค๐ฃ & ๐พ๐ก๐๐ข ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฅ and ๐
๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐พ๐๐ค๐ฎ ๐๐ช๐ข. Both the soups were outstanding.
For starters we ordered :
๐ผ๐ก๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฃ ๐ค๐ฃ ๐พ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐ช๐ฃ - crusted jumbo prawns on a crispy bun topped with a mustard-honey- yuzu sauce.
๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฃ ๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ค๐ฃ๐จ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐ช๐๐ฃ ๐พ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ก - a match made in heaven. Though they tasted really good, I felt the wonton covering could have been thinner.
๐๐ฉ๐๐ง-๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ฅ & ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ - loved them.
๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐พ๐ค๐ก๐ก๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ - salmon, Japanese scallops, Sydney rock oyster, NZ clam & Arctic surf clam. I didnโt try this, but my friends loved this dish.
๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐ ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐ฉ ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐พ๐๐ก๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ - this dish was first of many fried calamari dishes I had in Australia and loved it.
We were totally stuffed by this time, but that didnโt stop us from ordering couple more dishes.
๐๐๐๐๐ช๐๐ฃ ๐พ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ with loads of dried chilli & cashew nuts - while this was a good dish, it was outshined by the superb seafood dishes.
๐๐ฉ๐๐ง-๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐๐ก๐๐จ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฝ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ช๐๐๐ก๐ & ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐ง๐ค๐ค๐ข๐จ - this had a superb balance of truffle and I loved it.
๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐ช๐ง๐ฅ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ - salted egg yolk, purple sticky rice, scallops, squid, mussels & king prawns.
Everything was just wonderful and a perfect kickstart to my holiday in Australia. Loved the location and the ambience. Definitely a must visit when in Sydney.
