Mrida Group

Mrida Group Mrida Group represents sustainable, scalable business models focused towards sustainable Rural Development. ‘Mrida’ in Sanskrit means ‘Soil’.

And that, in a single word encapsulates what we stand for. We work at the ground level, close to the soil. Our work is directed mainly at the Base of the Pyramid (BOP) – our core customers. Our product offerings emanate, literally as well as figuratively, from the soil. As they say, “We come from the Soil. And we will ultimately go back to it”. Well – Mrida as a business, is inspired by the soil….

.! Our logo – a plant beginning to take root – also reflects the Mrida philosophy. The color green is symbolic of the eco friendly, vibrant and ethical businesses that the group seeks to bring to life. The bud represents the fruits of our efforts, and would soon blossom into life as the business evolves and grows. Each Mrida business entity – Mrida Renergy & Development (P) Ltd., Mrida Greens & Organics Pvt. Ltd., and Khoj – Journeys of Discovery, represents business models designed to create win-win situations across the spectrum of their association. We work at the ground level (BOP), but dream big and aim high. India is our base but our ultimate objective is to become a global entity. At Mrida, we have embarked upon a journey – one that we firmly believe must be as enjoyable and stimulating as the destination itself. Over time, we hope to generate a Mission, a Movement of individuals and organizations joining us on this journey. Our Vision is to promote vibrant, respected and ethical business organizations that spread happiness, good cheer and well-being, even as they seek to empower, uplift and benefit society at large. Mrida represents financially viable business models that are sustainable and scalable – businesses that not only generate wealth, but disseminate it across the spectrum – ‘Virtuous Circles’ that feed upon themselves, becoming bigger and stronger as they go along.

🇮🇳 Celebrating creativity, patriotism and the spirit of self-reliance.

At Manar D-Hub, 30+ women beneficiaries came together for a Drawing Competition on Clean India, Environmental Awareness and Desh Bhakti.

Through every drawing, they shared their thoughts, hopes and dreams for a better tomorrow.

As beautifully expressed by Nidhi-ben Ashokbhai:

“Every home will now become an address of new hope. With the support of the company, women in the villages are becoming self-reliant, living with dignity and turning their dreams into reality.”

A celebration of creativity, confidence and the spirit of a truly self-reliant India. 🇮🇳

Somewhere between the fields, the hands that work them, and the dreams of every woman and child lies the India we’re building.

An India where opportunity reaches every village, dignity belongs to every woman, and progress is shared by all.

This Independence Day, let’s celebrate not just the freedom we earned, but the better future we continue to build.

Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳

A few women from Futera Kala came together with a simple goal — to learn better ways of farming.

Through RevolutioNari, they learned about natural farming, composting, soil health and sustainable crop practices.

These may seem like small lessons, but for a farming family, they can mean lower costs, better practices and a more stable livelihood.

Because sometimes, real change starts with simply learning something new. 🌱

Empowering Women, Reaching the Unreached — Our CHE Programme in Action!

Project: RevolutioNari

In many villages across Bareilly and Rampur, the nearest hospital is miles away and basic healthcare is often out of reach. That's where our Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHEs) step in.

We identify, train, and equip local women from these underserved villages with medical kits and the skills to conduct essential health screenings BP, blood sugar, hemoglobin, dengue, malaria, typhoid, height/weight, and pregnancy tests — right at their doorstep.

Our recent health camps brought these services closer to communities that need them most. But beyond the screenings, something bigger is happening: these women are stepping into a real livelihood opportunity, becoming trusted health workers and change-makers in their own villages.

This is grassroots healthcare and grassroots empowerment going hand in hand.

Bringing Healthcare Home — Meet Our CHE Team!

Project: RevolutioNari

In many villages of Bareilly and Rampur, a hospital visit means traveling long distances — something not everyone can easily do. Our Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHEs) are here to close that gap.

Mrida Heart 'N Soil Foundation and Bahaar Foundation came together to train these women, empowering them with the skills and confidence to serve their own communities.

Equipped with medical kits, our CHEs now offer basic health check-ups right at people's homes — checking BP, blood sugar, hemoglobin, and testing for dengue, malaria, typhoid, along with height, weight, and pregnancy tests. Every check comes with an on-the-spot report, so families know their health status right away.

This isn't just about healthcare reaching every doorstep — it's also about women becoming leaders and earners in their own communities.

Health at your doorstep. Women leading the change. 💪

Every stitch carries patience, creativity, and the hope of a better tomorrow.

Under Project RevolutiNari, funded by PepsiCo India, women are receiving embroidery training to build practical skills that can become a source of sustainable income.

By creating beautifully embroidered products, participants are exploring home-based livelihood opportunities while preserving the value of traditional craftsmanship.

Because when rural women gain skills, they also gain the confidence to shape their own future.

Not every woman in a village lacks talent. Sometimes, she just lacks the opportunity to learn.

In many rural communities, women want to work and support their families but have limited access to practical skill training and income opportunities.

Our Beauty Parlour Skill Development Program equips them with hands-on skills, confidence, and the ability to start earning—whether through self-employment or local job opportunities. Small opportunities like these can create a lasting impact on families and communities.

💚 Every skill learned is a step toward financial independence.
