Sylvia led a lovely and varied walk in Dromkeen Woods near Innishannon on Saturday. Was this the first time the Club walked in Dromkeen? Can someone confirm or deny?

The weather was with them last Sunday as Mike led a B walk in the Galtees.

Grateful to Steph for summing up our week in Mallorca in her post on the Whatsapp group:

"The club holiday that keeps on giving...wonderful in so many ways...a week we all join forces. This year was no exception, a truly uplifting week in the VERY BEST OF COMPANY. Sharing, laughing, walking, swimming, yoga, eating, chatting, singing, and a wee bit of shopping 🛍️ 😄...in the sunshine (mostly)!🤣by the sea. To the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Sharon 🤓we thank you for arranging and organising this wonderful annual holiday."

Thanks also to Arnaud and Yves and colleagues from France Outdoors.

Glorious weather for Christine's walk in the Knockmealdowns yesterday. Someone else out on the day was high as a kite!

Well done to those who participated in the Club's annual charity walk on Saturday. They raised more than €1000 for a local group, East Cork Parents and Friends (of people with Intellectual Disabilities). The groups run events and summer camps for people with Intellectual Disabilities in the area. The walk was along the People's Path in Aghada and was followed [as usual!] by delicious homemade treats.

Connie led the final Wednesday evening walk of 2026. Thanks to all those who volunteered to lead the varied and most enjoyable Wednesday evening walks, and especially to Marie who organises the rota of walks & leaders.

The sky may have been a bit dull but the walkers were not. Josephine led today's walk in the Ballyhouras.

You might think that Midleton Hillwalkers have already explored every inch of Cork and Kerry. But no! Sunday's hike was two firsts: Therese led her first B walk and it was the Club's first time in stunning Gleninchaquin.
