I often have customers asking about concerts I might be playing in so I'm sharing here! Galway Baroque Singers have been kind enough to invite we in to perform with them for this Coffee Concert at St Nicholas Collegiate Church Galway this coming Saturday 21st March at 11am. For the 10 euro entry fee, which goes to their Schola Cantorum, you get coffee, cake and a beautiful concert! Hope to see some of you there! 🎶 🎵

Last bread bake of the year this Saturday 20th, we’ll have our usual delicious selection of breads as well as our honey & handmade beeswax candles for sale. We will have a selection of honey/candle hampers available for sale on the day or available to order & collect from our All things Bees stall at St Nicholas Christmas market on Monday & Tuesday.

🌱🦇GARDENING FOR BATS🦇🌱

We are delighted to launch our Gardening for Bats project - support bats in your own backyard! 🏡

🗓 FRIDAY 31ST JANUARY @ 7.30PM

🤔The project came from a question we are often asked by members of the public ‘What can I do for bats?’

The truth is, there is a lot anyone with an outdoor space can easily do for bats. With this project, we aim to:

- Create resources for gardeners to help them make bat and wildlife-friendly decisions when gardening.

- Provide signage, printed materials and resources for garden centres to help customers choose bat friendly trees, hedging and herbaceous perennials, as well as ponds and other features.

- For Irish plant nurseries - provide ‘I’m bat friendly’ labelling for Irish grown, native hedging and tree stock, as well as labels for herbaceous perennials that support nocturnal pollinators.

Hi all we wanted to take a moment out from all the madness to wish our market neighbours a Happy Christmas and New Year. From our wonderful friends St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, Galway, the mighty gang at Tig Choili in our opinion the best pub in Galway. The great staff at St.Pats car park, and Roots Cafe & Bistro for keeping us fed and caffeinated .The fantastic Sheridans Cheesemongers and Geraghty's Menswear . Our new neighbours Tiny Traders Village your doing a great job supporting up and coming new talent and independent traders.Our wonderful Galway City Council who facilitate the continuation of our historic market and the great community wardens who always do their job with a smile.
And last but not least our fantastic customers from the Galway community and beyond. We thank you all and really appreciate your support throughout the year.

🌳Forest school leadership QQI level 6.🌳

At last we can finally announce all the hard work we have put in, writing up and getting the first Irish accredited Forest School leadership course up and running. All with the help of Brigit’s Garden who is now a QQI approved training centre. So delighted to say the first courses will take place in Brigit's Garden & Café this June.

We have been working closely with;
Ciara from Forest School Ireland, formerly Earth Force Education and Lucy from GROW - Environmental Education and Growing Local Food to write the programme.
And continuous support from Joan of the Irish Forest School Association

Ciara from forest school ireland and I will be the first tutors giving the course in June.
