就取消義工服務－「愛包行動」一事致歉
善衡書院學生會義工服務隊會員：
本會 Volition 原定於二零一六年二月下旬至五月下旬舉辦「愛包行動」，惟最後因本會認為活動可行性存疑而取消。
此項活動原意為希望學生透過參與由惜食堂發起的愛包行動，把參與計劃的麵包店當天賣剩的麵包送到受惠機構讓有需要人士翌日享用，以提高學生對於香港食物浪費，以及貧窮問題的意識，從而鼓勵他們主動以不同方式幫助社會上有需要的人。
惟經本會內部討論，發現活動存在可行性方面的問題，以致在執行上頗有困難。
因活動時間橫跨大學中期測驗以及期末考試，本會預期參與人數未能符合活動預期。活動形式是由有興趣的參加者以個人身分或組隊參與，並同時再加上一位義工隊成員，組成二至五人一隊，作為期三個月的麵包天使。由於參與者或來自不同學科，中期測驗以及期末考試試期不一，或會於不同日子缺席活動，減少隊伍人力。如有多於兩名隊員缺席，更會令隊伍臨時缺席活動。加上是次活動是由惜食堂主辦，但鑑於活動日期不便，本會難以確保穩定的參與率，因此本會經商議後認為這項長期活動的可持續性不大。
本會明白履行年度計劃書中之活動的重要性，因此本會在此向全體會員致歉。為補償取消「愛包行動」此項活動，本會將會舉辦另一義工服務予各會員自由參加。活動詳情將會於稍後公佈，希望各位會員會繼續支持本會一切活動。

To Whom It May Concern

As stated in our year plan, an activity called the ‘love package action’ was supposed to be held from late February to late May. However, our committee finally decided to call it off. This decision was made based on the estimated low feasibility of this activity.
The intention of this event is that we hope to raise participants’ awareness on food waste and wealth disparity through an activity initiated by Food Angel - participants will be asked to take leftover bread from bakery shops and transfer them to the needy in certain organizations that are in association with Food Angel. We wish this trivial act can inspire our participants to help the underprivileged groups in the society in different forms.
However, despite the meaningful motive, our committee regret to announce the cancellation of this activity due to difficulty in implementation.
Since the period of the event would overlap with mid-term tests and final exams, our committee was concerned that the number of participants may fall short of our expectation. Regarding the format of the event, interested participants can join as an individual or can team up with two to five members, one of which should be a committee member. Nonetheless, different participants may come from different faculties and that may be a cause of absence due to their exam schedules. Absence of members will undoubtedly reduce the team’s labor and eventually the team may not have enough members to facilitate the action. It should also be noted that the host of the activity is actually Food Angel. Coupled with inconvenience event schedule, whether or not we can guarantee a stable participation rate remains questionable. Hence, after conscientious consideration, we concluded that the sustainability of such long-term activity is relatively low.
Without hesitation, we understand that fulfilling our obligations as proposed in the year plan is of paramount importance. We, thereby, give our wholehearted apology to our honorable members. In order to make up for the cancellation of ‘love package action’, our committee will be holding another voluntary service for our members to participate. Details of the event will be announced in due course. Please continue to support our organization and our activities.
