Well what can I say but THANK YOU!! 🩵

Our opening day of the snack shack on Saturday was a big success! It’s safe to say I was more than a little nervous to see if anyone would turn up or how it would all work out.

But with only a few teething errors finding the cash box or trying to wake up the card machine (definitely stressed me out) to pay, it otherwise was just blooming wonderful to see people come to visit and buy a bake 🥰

I felt like a kid on Christmas getting each notification saying there was someone at the shack and to also have people posting in my local page saying they’d visited and enjoyed my bakes, it all honestly made me feel a bit emotional 🥹

Im really hopeful the excitement to visit continues and you all love what you try! For now we’re trialling opening on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10am till 6.30pm so if you’ve not been yet theres still plenty chance to catch us

Here it is the BIG reveal and we are opening tomorrow! Now for the all important information you need to know:

- Opening Hours 10am till 6.30pm
- Whats on sale? Chocolate, hot chocolate bombs and traybakes

We are so excited to be opening tomorrow and please bare with us and we figure out any teething issues along the way. But for now we hope you can pop down for a treat or two, we’ll provisionally be open from 10am till 6.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays

As promised a post to let you all know you can buy mixed mystery treat boxes on our website now. I’d really appreciate anyone sharing or spreading the word with this one!

It’s always a bummer when a market gets cancelled due to bad weather because it means missing out on a days worth of earnings. It’s a double whammy this time seeing as I was poorly last Sunday and had to pull out of Harrogate Valley Gardens, so I’m 2 days of trading down 😢

It’s finally here all the crazy long days are coming to an end today! We have super limited stock today and actually by the time Ive got round to posting this Mother Moody has just sold out of lion bar rocky road 😅

So if you want to grab a rocky road or tiffin you best be quick before they’re all gone, a sell out day today would be absolutely incredible if we can 🤞🏻

This is your public service announcement that you have exactly 3 days left to come and see us at the York Food Festival !

The food fest is one of the last events where we have our rocky roads, tiffins and shortbreads before the Christmas chocolate season takes over. So if you’re a sucker for our traybakes then get yourself down to Parliament street this weekend before they’re all gone

A little how to guide to find us from M&S. It’s super easy and quick to get to us from this end so you shouldn’t be able to miss us!

As you walk past them I cannot tell you just how good the samosas from are, we’ve been getting them for years after finding them at an event way back and we have never had a samosa as good since 🙌🏻

Day 3 smashed ✅

Mother Moody brought her A game again and did an amazing job as usual. Sold out of a few types of shortbreads but don’t worry she baked off a top up last night so we’re stocked up for this morning!

We are a little thin on numbers for some of our bakes before we get another top up round done so if you’ve got your eye on something in particular make sure you pop down soon to snap it up 😂

Just a note we are sold out of our vegan Cherry shortbread today but we’re doing our best to have that back for you tomorrow 🤞🏻

Day 2 of York Food Festival 🙌🏻

Come and find us opposite M&S on Parliament street for all your sweet delights!

Now a little introduction to Ben, friends are everything when you run and small business and he’s been a super star today and run the stall so I could get back to the kitchen and make more with Mother Moody

You’ll probably see his face again this festival and over our Christmas market too, so do say hi as you stop by ☺️
