I've priced up the Christmas cake recipes I use this morning based a 12" square cake.

Traditional recipe 148AED or £27

Luxury recipe 188AED or £34

plus alcohol in both cases (and I'll have to buy a bottle so approx £25 for a bottle of brandy).

I'd be interested to know how this compares to the UK.
