Another two-wedding-ceremonies weekend - starting with a sunny, slightly breezy, ceremony outside for A & B (!) at the beautiful Knowle Manor in my homeland … also getting a chance to meet up with old maties from home… A fabulous setting for a fabulous couple who both looked gorge! Friends from Australia and Somerset joined them for a second ceremony day (first was on Mount Osmond at sunrise in Oz) .. of joy, warm and sincere words, fun and love abound. What are the chances ???!!! When you have just done a wedding nearby and then head off to an agricultural show, there is only one place to head to …. the coffin stand - obvs ! …. and then meet a dear someone else with the same idea …. 2 celebrant friends meeting up by coincidence . An honouring of life ceremony on Monday for a friend and fellow gig rower.. an absolute privilege to do this for such a lovely, cheeky, warm , competitive, banter-riddled bloke. Memories were shared- funny, heartwarming and poignant- as were tears , of course. But his instructions were to chat, mingle, share stories but most of all - to smile and raise a glass. And … his family and friends did him so proud in doing just that! And all in the best kept secret, most beautiful gem of a place. That Coventry-accented banter in the boat will be truly missed. 🚣‍♂️⛵️www.stoberryparkgarden.co.uk

Reccy for an upcoming honouring of a life ceremony - and what a beautiful place this is that Frances & Tim have created. And the view ! (Always partial to anything that involves Glastonbury Tor!) . A real hidden gem that is also about to host a sculpture exhibition. Love the places and the people this job takes me to…..
