MOVING ON....

At the end of July 2018, I will be closing Really Yummy. I have had such an amazing time, and am very much ending on a high, with customers who I love, and the cakey shine still intact.

But I have decided that after 6 fabulous years, it's time to find a new challenge. I will still be taking orders for the time being, so hop over to the website if you need something in the next few months.

And don't panic, any confirmed orders will obviously be honoured, but please pop me an email if you have any questions. And thank you, for literally making this business a reality.

**WHAT'S IN MY BACK YARD?? - WAGAMAMA**
I love Hampshire. And Wi******er in particular. There are so many lovely places to explore, and plenty of hidden gems.

This is a great place for an impromptu lunch. I can find it tricky to make lunch plans in advance, as I'm never sure when a mad-busy week will hit. But I do love to grab lunch at Wagamama as a treat in a quiet week, even if I'm on my own as it's so low key and lovely.

**BEHIND THE SCENES AT REALLY YUMMY HQ**
I use bunting a lot. It's an straightforward way to decorate a bottom tier, and can be made to fit in with any colour scheme. I roll the sugarpaste quite thinly, and use a metal ruler as a template to cut strips of each colour. It's then really simple to cut them into triangles with a sharp knife. And it really doesn't matter if each triangle is not exactly the same shape - it sort of adds to the charm.

Trolls! Such a fabulous film, and a favourite in our house, especially the music. The cake was for twins, so it only seemed fitting to use the twins from the film too!

The most gorgeous photography business, based in Southampton. Ashleigh produced the most flattering photos of me that I have ever seen, and the whole process was so relaxing. Lovely.

The most super excuse for a cake - for Tom, the husband of my lovely customer. Tom hails from Begium, and a village famous for its pumpkins. He's a big fan of Jupiler beer, and we decided to use a gorgeous piece of art around the bottom tier too, full of images inspired by Belgium....

I popped into Warren and Son on the high street a while back, actually because they had ordered a cake. But I very nearly didn't leave, it's such a gorgeous shop full of lovely gifts and stationery. I'm a sucker for stationery, and I could have browsed in here for hours!
