New customer got in touch just as we finished our previous job over in Aughton.

We headed straight over to Bryn , Ashton-in-makerfield to diagnose this rattly Pathfinder

At first it had us stumped and testing our ability and knowledge…

Inspecting the turbo core , the Air con pulley/ clutch , all the auxiliary bearings & pulleys , the whole 9 yards and we was confused.

The culprit was more noticeable when going from lock to lock , it appears the bearings in the power steering pump are failing

Advised customer accordingly

New customer got in touch us yesterday inregards to changing their front brake disc & pads

2014 Renault Capture

We headed out to their place of work over in Aughton , west lancs, Ormskirk. Collected their keys and had little game of find the car on a car park 🤣🤣

Once we located the car we got straight to work , had a couple of short showers 🚿 in the process, however skin is waterproof, we cracked on and got the job done ✅

Brakes was well and truly over due 👀🫣

5 star service provided as always , we have the brake disc a rub down with brake cleaner to get the protective coating off whilst they sit on shelf in the shop. Greased the slid pins on the carrier and reassembled them

New customer got in touch to repair some parts that was missing after paying heavy bill in repairs 👀

2014 ford transit custom

Repairs to be carried out was as followed

- EGR cooler pipe supplied by customer
- Engine mount nuts
- clutch bleeding
- suspected leak

When we arrived the customer was out at work , we fitted the engine mount nuts that the customer supplied.

Went to fit the egr cooler pipe and we quickly noticed that the pipe the customer was supplied was completely the wrong one , was to short and not temperature rated for the cooler

Proceeded to test the clutch pedal to see why the customer wanted it bleeding on inspection and testing , it definitely wasn’t needed to be bleed up , this was the most responsive clutch pedal I’ve ever felt , the biting point was unreal 🤩

We jacked the van up and looked under neath to see where the suspected leak was coming from, we could see traces of oil residue all over the bottom of the engine and the lower section of the engine block above the sump , we followed the oil return feed from the turbo to the engine block and on visual inspection the gasket / o ring to the oil return to the block half it had gone

All in all we advised the customer of the leak and the issue with the supplied pipe and he’s going to get the correct one and oil feed line and get us back out to complete the work

New customer got in touch with us Friday however we was away…

So we attended the job today at the comfort of their own home and done the necessary repairs needed to pass their mot retest
