🎉 Customer Order Spotlight! 🎉

This cake was lemon flavoured with homemade lemon curd filling, my customer picked the player names they wanted on the toppers which were created by the talented . I’m beginning to love creating decorations out of fondant, these footballs were fiddly but effective. For the Newcastle fans, I’m aware Gordon is no longer but this was made before he left 😂 I’m just really behind on posting

If you could have any celebrity on a cake who would it be? This young lady wanted Harry Styles and what better way to celebrate turning 15!! I couldn’t get him in person so an image was second best. 2 layers of vanilla sponge, disco balls, extra sparkle on the buttercream, 1 very happy birthday girl ✨

✨ FRIDAY BAKE DAY IS BACK… FOR A LITTLE TRIAL! ✨

I’ve missed my Friday bakes WAY too much, so even though it’s the school holidays, I’ve decided to get back in the kitchen today and see if there’s enough interest to keep the bakes going 🧡

🎉 Customer Order Spotlight! 🎉

🩷💚 Something a little bit Wicked… 💚🩷

This 6-inch asymmetrical chocolate drip cake was fun to make. I’ve not really been one for fondant, but I’m getting into it for decorations, of course I had to make the hat and crown then I paired them with a personalised name & age topper (from a lovely supplier who I sadly can’t find anymore!)

Onto my daughter’s birthday cake! 💕 (from April!)

Backstory… She originally asked for an “In Your Dreams” themed cake, specifically in the shape of the Sandman, with loads of Sandlings, plus the sister and brother somewhere. I was like… please 😏 make it more of a challenge! 😂 If you’ve seen the film, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Piece of cake! Did you see what I did there?!? 😅

Then, a couple of days before her birthday… she changed her mind! Phew 😮‍💨 … to an axolotl cake 😱 with no time to prepare, I thought, “I’ll just make a model.”

Well … It looked less like an axolotl and more like something you’d find on a hen do cake! 🫣 fail! So I freehand cut a couple instead, laughed, cried then got carried away making the little sea themed decorations.

In the end, I actually think it turned out even better than I’d imagined, and more importantly, she absolutely loved it. 🩷 That’s all that matters

Jack Daniel’s Big 40! 🥃

Red weather warning ☀️ + buttercream + cream + chocolate 🍫 = today’s biggest challenge!

This one needed an instant shout-out!
Four layers of vanilla sponge, filled with strawberry jam, coated in buttercream and finished with a chocolate drip, white chocolate and mini Jack Daniel’s bottles.

Considering today’s heat, I’m so pleased with how this one turned out. I survived… and more importantly so did the cake! 🥵😂

Only a month behind 🤦🏼‍♀️ I completely forgot to post my children’s birthday creations! Something different for my son this year, he is not a fan of sponge, but absolutely loves buttercream and cookies so … a Minions themed cookie cake was the perfect answer! 🍪💛💙And before anyone asks… no, that isn’t a watch at the bottom. It’s obviously Stuart! 😂
