Evening all sorry its been so quiet on here, I've had so much going on and totally forgot to share with you all my very last cake for a customer. I was honoured to make this christening cake for a lovely couple who I made my 1st ever wedding cake for and their 1st daughter's christening cake. This cake was for their 2nd daughter, a vanilla sponge and a chocolate sponge. All handmade decorations.

Morning, I just want to let you all know that I have decided to close Rachel's cakes, I didn't make this decision easily but there is a few factors that have led me to this decision. I am extremely grateful for all of your orders and support over the last 5yrs. I have 1 last cake to make for 5th August so keep your eyes peeled for photos. I may still keep my page open as I will be baking for my family and will still be selling rice and icing sheet toppers. Xx

Morning, I totally forgot to put the photos of last weekends cakes on, so here they are, a 2 tier blues brother themed cake a vanilla sponge and a lemon sponge with handmade figures. And a pretty baby shower cake that was a vanilla sponge.

I Totally forgot to post these! For father's day I made my dad some chocolate orange cupcakes with chocolate orange ganache topping, my son and I made my husband some Oreo and white chocolate rocky Road (white chocolate is his favorite) and finally I made a rolo cheesecake to take to my parents for us all for pudding after our delicious roast cooked by my mom. X

This lovely blush pink and rose gold unicorn cake went out the weekend. Colours worked lovely together. Bottom tier vanilla sponge and vanilla buttercream with jam and top tier red velvet with vanilla buttercream.

This is a difficult post for me as I pride myself on my work being as perfect as I can! Unfortunately making cakes really is hard, upsetting and very stressful at times! I would like to share with you why.
On the weekend of the Royal wedding I had the pleasure of creating a wedding cake with a slight difference. I was so happy with how the cake turned out and all those hours of working on it were worth it when it was finished and the bride loved it too!

It was a big cake consisting of 4 tiers bottom tier being 11inch and it had a lot of detail. Unfortunately my worst fear since I started doing cakes 5yrs go happened upon delivery we had to brake suddenly and due to this and the extremely warm weather on the day the cake moved on its base board 😱😢.
I was immediately in panic mode as we were only half way to the venue and most of the way was uphill! Any way we got the cake there still standing and I repaired some slight damage but unfortunately the cake was now slightly wonky this was really upsetting for me but I couldn't do anything to correct it as messing with it would have made it worse. The bride and groom have been lovely and understanding about the situation which I really appreciate. I know I wasn't thinking this at the time but I now realise that these things happen and all you can do is your best to fix the situation. I would like to share the before delivery and after delivery photos. (before photos are not my best as had to do them on top of my stove as the cake was sooooo heavy and I could not carry it on my own to the smooth table where I usually take my photos).

Morning all, I would just like to apologise for how quite it has been on my page recently, unfortunately I've had a lot going on personally. But I have still done some cakes that I haven't yet shared with you so will post them now. These were all sent to Riverside holiday Village.
