Don’t tell him I told you (😜) but….MY MATE GEORGE IS 90! 🎂 🎁 🎈
Yesterday I had the pleasure of making a cake for my mate George!
I first met George back in 2018(ish) when my son started playing cricket.
George then became my mate when I volunteered under his guidance at the cricket club doing the ground work and I believe everyone needs a mate like George!
George does the ground work twice a week, every week, year round (along with Terry, John and Brian) and it takes a very good reason not to go. And I’m sure it has to reach -4° before the temperature can be used as an excuse! 😆
I’d also wage a bet that George is fitter than all the cricket players put together. (Don’t tell them I said that!) 🤣
Now in my plans I was going all out, as a present to George, 2 tiers, one being cricket themed and one being train themed, as George was a train driver for many years. But after deciding with his family a simple lemon sponge was exactly what George would like. “None of the thick buttercream stuff” haha.
So, I’d like to wish my mate George a very happy 90th birthday!
I’ll make you that 2 tier cake on your 100th. 😆x
