A little insight into the wonderful world of tiered cake construction… Sometimes, things don’t quite go to plan! 🤣

And this time, it called for some drastic action!

I’d glued the central wooden dowel to the cake board, only to realise it was too long! So, what do you do when your cake support is taller than it should be? Out comes the hacksaw! 😂

With the cake safely covered to protect it from any sawdust, I enlisted my husband to do the honours and hack the top off! 🪚

Just another day in the life of a cake maker… things don’t always go to plan, but there’s usually a way to fix them! 🙌🤣

CAKE STUDIO TOUR – PART TWO 🎂✨

IT’S HAPPENING!!! 🥳🔨

Things are officially underway and I couldn’t be more excited!

First up… the partition wall had to GO! 💥 I got stuck in and had the best time smashing it to bits. Honestly, who knew demolition could be so much fun?! Very rock ’n’ roll 🤘😂

Then it was over to Tony from Lawsons landscape & building to work his magic. 🔨

After the mess I made, it was time to start putting things back together — timbering up the walls, adding damp proofing and insulation.

It’s already starting to feel like a real space, and I’m SO excited to see it all come together! 🥹🎂✨
