Can you believe this was a whole year ago?! 🎂
What a year it’s been — a proper roller coaster, but a very good one!
Saturday 6th September 2025, The Cake Cupboard officially opened.
With very little sleep, a whole lot of anxiety and worry, and wondering if anyone would actually visit… you did not let me down! ❤️
And every week since, you’ve kept turning up — not just to treat yourselves, but to treat the friends and family you’re meeting up with at the weekend.
I’ve shared so many of my tears, frustrations and little rants with you — especially when it comes to the labels… 😤😂 Don’t even get me started!
But more importantly, you have let me be part of your happy times and celebrations, and it’s been such a pleasure being a tiny part of those moments. ❤️ And that’s what makes this so special.
But to make all of this possible, I have an amazing team of supporters behind me, cheering me on every step of the way.
My husband Nick, who orders all the packaging and helps with any last-minute shop runs for butter or eggs that I’ve inevitably run out of.
My son Monty, Chief Brownie/Cake Tester — a very important job! 🧁😂
My Mum, who every Friday sits in my kitchen and labels all the bags and boxes ready for me to fill with treats, and washes up all of my chocolate-covered pots and pans… for no payment but endless cups of tea! ☕️❤️
And my Dad — Chief Paper Bag Buyer! 🛍️😂 Who happily travels by bus to Portishead whenever I’m running low and picks them up for me. Now that’s dedication!
Plus, I have an army of lovely ladies who step in and help at short notice, I genuinely could not do it without you all. ❤️
So, I guess what I’m trying to say is…
