Hello! And welcome to NV Bakes, a 5 star rated, home baking business made up of mother and daughter based in Uckfield!
We registered our business last year in 2025 and the first year has been mainly about us finding our niche and deciding what direction we want to take our little baking business. We have a long term plan but at the moment we are focusing on weekly treat boxes and outside events. Our next event scheduled is currently Weald on the Field at Luxford Field in Uckfield so do keep an eye out for further information soon 👀
We are fully qualified, insured, and received our 5 star food hygiene rating last year which we worked very hard for! We cannot stress enough how important it is when buying cakes, bakes and food in general from a home based business that you should check their food hygiene rating status on the official government website and ask whether they have adequate insurance. We’ve had a couple of messages from you guys recently asking about this and what the importance is… not only is it law to hold these, it also covers you if god forbid something happen whilst eating something, whether it be allergy, choking, injury etc. Never be afraid to ask, we would always be happy to send our insurance certificate across if catering an event (something all event planners should do but sadly don’t) and we display our hygiene rating on our stall and you’ll notice that other caters do this also. If anyone has any questions or concerns please reach out and we will always be happy to help, and if we can’t cater for you, we have a couple of other local home bakers who we highly recommend 🙂
