A year ago, I gave up my job as an interior designer with a mad idea to follow my passion and bake artisan bread for the local community. For most, that's just organic flour, water, salt and yeast – sometimes commercial yeast, sometimes sourdough and even fast-acting bi-carbonate for soda breads. Over the year, I've been learning my trade, refining recipes and getting to know my neighbours and cus

tomers selling at markets in my local area Surbiton, Kew Gardens and Whitton – and all working from home. I am thrilled to have opened our new premises @ 52 Heath Road, Twickenham and am looking forward to having a place to experiment, create and bake. I hope to welcome you to my Artisan Bakery Lab where you can watch the whole process from mix to rise, from flouring to proving, and finally take home your bread of choice, fresh from the wood-fired oven.

We're opening for breakfast and pizza to dine in on the 17th of May ! (Provided nothing changes until then).
You'll enjoy a fresh menu made with our best ingredients, simple and delicious and cooked by order! Plus you'll be able to order our sourdough pizza, the only pizza made with homemade sourdough in Twickenham.

Oh, you're going to be ordering online by scanning the QR code menu and food will be served at the table.

Don't forget our highlight of the week with freshly made pastries, cakes, coffees and organic bread !

We'll still be serving in takeaway packaging for a while, which won't affect the quality of our products.

Ruben's Bakehouse is looking for staff !
ASAP
Join our lovely team as a weekend staff member for our bakery/pizzeria setting.

Working hours are:
Friday 5 PM - 9 PM
Saturday 9 AM - 1 PM
Saturday 5 PM- 9 PM.

Job duties:
Make coffees
Serve food
Clear tables
Replenish stockroom
Ensure the place is tidy and clean following our cleaning routine

Shifts can be flexible and details are discusses at the interview.

What we are looking for:
Experience is helpful but not essential as we provide full training, but the right candidate must be responsible, willing to work in a team, communicate, learn and most importantly have a positive attitude.
Sometimes there may be extra volume of work at peak times during the year so the candidate must have a can do attitude.

We offer full training
Minimum wage plus extra depending on experience, and a lovely team.
