I’ve been in hospitality for quite a long time now about 14=16 years. I realised I loved the fact that it made people happy when they received good customer service and because I love making people happy I decided this industry was definitely what I wanted to do. I realised quite early on that my real passion was making coffees so I took on barista jobs.
About 2-3 years ago I started being an agency barista and my second job was Grounded. The staff made me feel so welcome and I loved working with them so much. This is why when I got the opportunity to work with them again via the barista agency I was happy and decided to join the grounded team full time. Only 2 members of that team are still here from 2 years ago, but the team members now are fantastic and I’m so happy to be part of the Grounded family

I’m Lisa, the Aussie from Perth WA

I moved to Twickenham from Perth, Australia 8 1/2 years ago. I’ve been working at Grounded for almost 5 years. I enjoy making sandwiches and breakfasts for our customers and get huge satisfaction when people enjoy their food. It’s my past-time at home, as I love cooking for my family and I’m always pottering around in the kitchen.
I love interacting with the customers and the doggies that come to Grounded. Animals, walking, and food, are my passions.

Meet Audrey 👋 Originally from South Africa and now part of our lovely St Margarets community, Audrey has been serving up great coffee, delicious sandwiches and plenty of laughter at Grounded Coffee Shop for the past 3 years.

When she’s not behind the counter, you’ll find her painting, playing golf or spending time with her family and grandchildren 💛

Hi, I’m Zane! I’ve been supervising Grounded for the last six months and absolutely love getting to know our customers and being part of the local community.

I’ve worked in hospitality for around eight years, supervising several businesses across London, and I’m always looking to learn more about what makes a great customer experience.

You’ll usually find me behind the counter with a smile, happy to help with anything you need or just have a chat while you’re waiting for your coffee.

I’m currently learning more about business management and hope to open my own independent store in the Richmond area one day.

As my passion I have also worked in visual effects on a number of well-known TV productions, so if you’re into films, TV, or coffee, we’ll probably have plenty to talk about!

Holding a professional qualification in Hospitality Management and having previously owned and managed her own café, she truly understands the importance of creating a place where people feel comfortable, valued, and at home.

Known for her warm smile, caring nature, and dedication to both customers and her team, Lynda is passionate about great coffee, genuine connections, and making every visit to Grounded feel special. She loves creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers can relax, enjoy their coffee, and always feel warmly welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.

Today we say ‘farewell’ to Jo. She’s been a part of Grounded for over 10 years, consistently making great coffees and being a very popular part of our team. We shall miss you hugely Jo, but we all wish you well on your next venture! X
