Last night we celebrated my sister and Reece’s engagement 💛

The best night! ✨

My sister asked if I could do the balloon set up, me being me “yeah why not?!” 🤣🙈

For a first time go, I’m quite impressed with myself 😂 thank you to everyone’s help along the way, as I couldn’t have done it on my own 💛

Soppy & Long post alert 🥹🩷

Today marks the 2 year anniversary my gorgeous Grandad gained his angel wings 🪽

For those who know me, know my Grandad was my world and stepped up to be my Dad 💙 everyday is a struggle but this week especially 💔

When Grandad was ill, a couple of months before he passed I made the decision to set up my little business - the best and sometimes worst decision I’ve made 😂

I never quite anticipated how difficult it would be to run a business along working full time and running around like a blue arsed fly (literally that is me as a person!) I do not sit down! Some days I’m on the go from 4:30am until early hours of the next morning and it’s bloody hard work! 🤯

However seeing and receiving all the good feedback on my creations makes it worth while and makes me slightly emotional 🩷 on the days I feel like throwing in the towel when things go wrong (believe me there’s been plenty 😂!) I remember the reason why I do this, and it’s to make my Grandad proud 💙

I know he would be so proud and if I even thought of stopping he would be saying in his stern army voice “You bloody are not!” 😂 this along with all the support all my lovely customers, friends, family and referrals show me keeps me going, and I have you all to thank for where Baked by Claire is today. To have a pretty much fully booked diary until the middle of November says it all 🩷

So thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support over the past 2 years 🩷 it’s amazing to be part of all your celebrations and here’s to many more years to come 🥂

I’m so gutted Grandad isn’t here to see me where I am today in person, but I know he is with me everyday 💙

In true Grandad style I will be partying the night away, along with my family, at my sisters engagement party this weekend. All messages will be replied to Wednesday 2nd September 🩷 💃🏻🥂💍 🎂

I am now off until 17th August for my best friend’s wedding 🤍

Let’s talk Christmas 😍🎅🏼😂

My favourite time of the year, and it’s starting earlier and earlier every year 🤯

I have noticed other bakers release their Christmas cakes and some even sell out already!

I’ll be looking at doing cupcakes, brownie slabs throughout December (perfect for gifts!)
Then for Christmas Eve, cupcakes, treat boxes, brownie slabs, cookies and possibly 6” celebration cakes 🎅🏼

I know I offered paint your own biscuits last year, also an option maybe?? ❤️

Please let me know what your thoughts are, I love to be organised so the earlier the better for me really 🤣🎅🏼🎅🏼
