Let’s talk hygiene ratings!

As a business, achieving a five star hygiene rating isn’t just about having a clean kitchen, it’s about so much more than that!

No one talks about or sees the behind the scenes paperwork that it requires everyday!

From allergens, cleaning records, fridge temperature recording to labelling open ingredients.

Yesterday was a prime example of how we put this to practice and how important it is to know your stuff!

Whilst our brownies were part of a stand showcasing at the NEC, an environmental health officer came over to do a random check that the product showed clearly all ingredients and allergens displayed in bold. Of course they did!! This is due to the brownies being pre-packed!

Labels printed by the best as always Kimberley Angela 🩷

When choosing your baker, it is SO important that you research that they are registered with their local council to ensure they are aware of the processes and rules they need to follow and know their stuff, especially for allergens!!! It’s worrying that people still use ‘bakers’ that are not registered.

I am proud to say that Baked by Claire holds a 5 star hygiene rating ⭐️
