I handed the keys back to Swansea Market on Friday.
Bitter-sweet but I KNOW it’s the right thing.
I’ve learnt SO much from my time running the shop.
I’ve gained first hand experience in growing a business from NOTHING to a multi-stream revenue business.
By age 25 I’ve:
• built 2 bakeries / street food vendors + multiple pop ups (DOUBLING revenue from 1st to 2nd shop).
• recruited and managed a team of 5.
• executed multiple marketing and PR campaigns.
• managed all financial aspects of the business.
• developed relationships with various stakeholders and organisations.
• identified new routes to market for the Bowla.
One key thing I’ve learnt from my 25 years on this earth is that that sometimes you have to MAKE CHANGE for change to happen.
It’s been hard letting people down.
But at the end of the day, I’ve got to do what’s right for me.
I’m looking forward to what doors will open now that our doors in Swansea Market have closed.
We want Bowla’s sold up and down the country starting with food service & then moving over to retail.
To do this we’d like to collaborate with the greatest talent in the bakery industry. 💛
Exactly what this looks like is still to be determined.
But I still have plenty of tricks up my sleeve yet ✌️
Onwards and upwards - the future is BOWLA 🎩
