We're not sure why this is, and it's for this reason we are having to close this page down and set up a new page.

Mary's Cakes 'n' Bakes ‘handmade with love’
My name is Mary Walley and up until August 3rd, 2024 I will have run Mary’s Meat stall in the Indoor Market Hall for approx. 30 years selling cold meats, pies, cheeses and homemade cakes.

I previously baked cakes for the Country Market stall up until it’s closure in December 2021. Since then I continued making and selling homemade cakes from my delicatessen stall.

Once Mary’s Meats closes in August, due to numerous requests, I am continuing to make cakes and bakes via orders only, which can be placed through this page.

Delivery will be on a weekly basis through The Plant Stall in the Indoor Market or for larger orders, local home delivery within a 10 mile radius.

All cakes will be freshly made in order to provide customers with the best quality. Your cake will be at peak freshness when you receive it. We advise that you enjoy your cake as soon as you receive it. If you plan on keeping it for more than 24 hours, we recommend that you store it in a cold, dry area and make sure you consume it within 3 days. Alternatively, your purchases can be frozen.

Important information:

· Registered with Staffordshire Council as a food business.

· Insured.

· Hygiene rating: 5.

· Food hygiene level 2.

Available: Sponge cakes, fruit loaves, tray bakes, cheesecakes, quiches, sausage rolls and so much more……

As you know, the Country Market stall is permanently closed, but this little stall (The Plant Stall and more ) is now open selling similar items and raising funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support Group.
Try and pop in and support the local businesses that need you....

This coming Wednesday from 8.30am until about 1pm: A new stall in the Indoor Market selling plants (shrubs, bulbs perennials etc), homemade cakes, homemade bread, gift items and bric-a-brac. Proceeds of many of the items to the local branch of Macmillan Cancer Support Group.
Pop in and have a look.....

A chance to support one of our Pop-up Christmas stalls on Saturday, 4th Dec from 8.30am.
Christmas cakes, fruit loaves, sponge cakes, home-baked bread, preserves, fresh wreaths and bunches of greenery, potted plants..........

We are running the Country Market stall on the first two Saturdays in December from 8.30am until around 12.00pm. Orders are now being taken via FB comments or the messaging service for collection from the Market Hall.

Great news!
There will be two pop-up Country Market events on Sat 4th and Sat 11th December 2021 from about 9am until 1pm in the Indoor Market Hall.
These events will run alongside the Christmas fundraising for Macmillan Cancer.
For Christmas cakes and others (to avoid disappointment), please order by private messaging us and these will be available for collection on the 2 dates above. Please state whether you want iced or un-iced Christmas cakes.
Available on the day will be preserves, limited selection of sponge cakes, scones, fruit loaves, homemade bread, fish pies, Christmas bundles of mixed greenery, door wreaths, grave wreaths and gifts.
Other items may be available on the day.
