Good Morning! How was everyones weekend?
Mine was a mixture of James Bond, football & a delicious roast dinner! I also managed to squeeze in the most adorable christening cake ( see my previous reel ) for lovely little Florence.
I've got 2 gorgeous wedding cakes coming up this week & an open day so another busy week..anyone else finding that October?November has become super popular for weddings? Personally I love crisp, autumnal days & cake decorating in Autumn is so much more fun than during the stressful heat of the summer months!! Anyone else with me?....

Floral Friday & one of my favourites - Clematis
The symbolism of Clematis is an intriguing one: this flower stands for mental beauty and ingenuity! As a garden plant, Clematis climbs up trellises and walls, sometimes in the most spectacular fashion so perhaps this is where its meaning stems from - no pun intended!
It also makes the most wonderful filler flower on your wedding cake design..let me know your favourite flowers below 😍

Continuing yesterday theme on 'details' this was a rather special design for Hannah & Henry. Drawing inspiration from Hannah's lace dress I created a bespoke monogram which included the couples initials. The font was taken from Hanna's own writing as she had learnt calligraphy & hand wrote all of her wedding invitations - they were absolutely beautiful.

A close up of one of yesterday's sugar flowers - I love the veining on this flower & the dusting really bought the whole design to life.

After a couple of weeks away I'm back & raring to go with lots of beautiful cake designs to create & lots to share from the past few months...

Starting off with this elegant 2 tier buttercream design.........

The way that texture can add dimension & interest to your cakes is just so interesting to me as a cake designer & something I love exploring.
This design incorporated subtle textures with buttercream to create an elegant & romantic feel for E & A's wedding a few weeks ago .
The final cake was adorned with a small selection of fresh flowers but the beauty of this style is that it sits equally well with/without any embellishments.

Creating elegant sugar flowers is something I will never tire of. Sugar flowers have had a rough deal in the past & they can still be associated with a more old fashioned style of cake decorating 😅

Today’s semi naked wedding cake was a WHOPPER! A very tall single tier - 6layers of classic chocolate with my signature buttercream. The final cake ended up at 8” tall…head on over to my stories for some BTS of the making & final decoration. Wishing Maria & Emmanuel a wonderful celebration

Good Morning!

How’s everyone feeling today? Mixed emotions for all my lovely couples & industry friends…hopefully yesterday’s news is positive for some of you 🤞

Today I’m working on some more choux buns & creme patisserie filling which will be a new addition to my dessert table offering 😋 Creme Patisserie is an absolute favourite of mine & I can’t wait to share these with you all x
