🏁 Hot Wheels Birthday Cake 🛞🔥

Whilst I still am not currently trading, I can still at least continue to bake for family occasions 😁. I always love being able to bake cakes for my nieces and nephews. This years theme is Hot Wheels 🔥. 5 inch cake made up of 4 layers of chocolate sponge filled with chocolate buttercream 🍫.

Decorated with customised acrylic toppers from the amazing The Little Shop of Toppers 💕.

We should be FINALLY getting the keys to our new house next week 🤞, which means bigger kitchen 😍, so will be able to take on more orders 😉. Keep your eyes posted for the re-launch date 👀.

I’m hoping once I’m back up and running to do more content videos and showing the behind the scenes more when doing orders ☺️. Whilst it can be stressful sometimes as I like to make sure everything is always perfect for your bakes, I have missed the process and satisfaction of seeing designs come together.

Fingers crossed I will be back up and running for October 🤞. Hope you haven’t all forgotten about me just yet 🫣😅.

Throw back to these little cuties I made for my niece earlier this year 😄. 2nd year doing a Jelly Cat themed cake, so had to get the matching Jelly Cats as well 🤪.

Made up of 2 x 4 inch cakes with 2 layers of chocolate orange sponge ans chocolate orange buttercream filling 🍫🍊.

Who else has Jelly Cat obsessed kids? 😄

When you miss baking so you spend your Sunday trying something new 🤪. Decided to try out something I’ve had my eye on for a while which is Crème Brûlée cupcakes 🤤😋.

Always worried when trying something new, as this was my first time also making crème pâtissière which is what is used for the filling & topping, but think managed to pull it off 😁. Just could do with having it slightly thicker next time.

Overall though, it was deeeliciouussss 😍. Even managed to achieve the hard sugar shell as of course had to the spoon tap to check 😜.

Starting to miss my baking! Miss being able to put together your beautiful creations for special occasions 💕. Hoping that in the next 2 months I’ll be back open for business! We are hopeful that we will be in our new house end or August 🤞🏡🔑. Once all settled I need to apply to the council as this will be different from the council I was registered before. Hopefully you haven’t forgotten about me just yet 😅.

I might be out of service for now, but can still continue to practice some new bakes 😄. Luckily for me my mum in law has the same mixure as me so been putting it to use 🤭.

One thing I get people mentioning a lot is blondies! I must admit, I never tried one before 😅. So gave it a go yesterday and did a gluten free version as my mum in law in coeliac to be able to try. A fudgey white chocolate base, with guylian praline chocolate mixed inside 🤤. The top is white hazelnut and chocolate spread topped with more guylian chocolates 😄.

The 1st image came up in my memories last month. At the time I was just baking for family occasions when I was asked to. Definitely come across long way since then! I used to always use fondant to decorate cakes as wasn’t really familiar with buttercream, and used to have a nightmare trying to smooth the fondant 🤣. Much prefer using buttercream now and can manipulate to be the right texture much easier 😄.

Hopefully in another 10 years can see more improvement 😁.

Hey everyone 👋

Sorry again it’s been quiet on here, it’s been a hectic month! After being away on holiday at the start of June, we have since moved out of our house and in with family (whilst we are still waiting to be able to move into our new house 🙈).

I am still unable to update when I’ll be able to open back up officially due to not having a completion date set yet 😢, but we’re pushing for this to hopefully be in the next few weeks 🤞. Missing being able to create lovely bakes for you so hoping to be back up and running by end of summer! My poor baking items are currently sat in boxes in storage eager to get back out again 😂.
