We had a lovely cake sampling yesterday in preparation for a Summer wedding! How cute is this set up my sister made for us?

The couple have come up with a really special design🌸and I'm excited to be able to share it with you in a couple of months!

What's the best part of ordering a generously decorated cake? The chaos that comes with cutting into it, of course! 🤩

Here we have a classic Victoria sandwich cake elevated with a chocolate lattice collar and mountain of fresh fruit on top.

The perfect way to mark an occasion or to simply treat yourself 💅

It was an absolute honour to have the opportunity to bake the wedding cake for my two lovely friends 💕

Jess and Harrison had a summer wedding which lended itself to lighter flavours and vibrant decorations. Here, we have three tiers of lemon cake with elderflower buttercream, iced in a semi-naked style and topped with an abundance of fresh edible flowers.

I thought that this bake's biggest challenge would be keeping the cake cool on a hot Summer's day, but what was I thinking - we are in England after all, and it did (of course) rain 🙈

Vegan almond croissants and Victoria sponge cupcakes 🍰

These were made for a very special occasion - my sister's birthday! Can you guess what her favourite colour is? 😅

Whilst the cupcakes use a relatively simple recipe, croissants are extremely difficult to make. I followed a very precise (I'm talking to the millimetre here) recipe and rolled the croissants around a tablespoon of homemade frangipane. I sprinkled some flaked almonds on top, put them in the oven and crossed my fingers....
...and if I do say so myself, they turned out great!
