Hi everyone!
As some of you may have seen we attended an event last week and as nice as it was being back to work doing what I love, I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I normally do as I was already stressed, majorly overstimulated, running off extremely little sleep and setting up with the kids round my feet so my social battery had zero charge😅
Reece then left me at the event and took the kids back home, we ended up enlisting a 3rd adult (my mom) to try and manage the day as my daughter needs 1 set of eyes on her at pretty much all times.
Its reminded me, we set up this business for a reason. We didn't set this business up to feel like failures for not being able to juggle the usual workload during school holidays. We miss out on a lot of summer events with good foot traffic but it is what it is.
I haven't been doing great the last few weeks and instead of trying to force things so that we are still "present" with the business, I think its time to admit I need to stop and focus on mine and my households needs.
This will be how the business will work for all 6 weeks holidays going forward. We will no longer be trying to remain open as trying to maintain the workplace standard in a chaotic family household is difficult enough, I fear if I continue forcing it then quality, motivation and passion will start to slip.
We realise we will fall out of the algorithm, we may lose customers, we just hope you can understand our reasoning behind this difficult decision.
I love our business and I want to be able to give it all I have, never less and I'm admitting I can't give it everything at the moment.
We will be back in September but we will keep you updated in regards to an official date.
Thank you to every single one of you who have stayed patient with us and shown support whilst we navigate this. It's all a HUGE learning curve😅
