everything that could’ve went wrong did go wrong with this cake 🤣 1.5kg buttercream wasted later, i think it was well worth it 🤩

p.s. don’t bake when your kitchen is at 30°c 🤦🏻‍♀️

this madagascan vanilla sponge is the perfect base to build your flavour profile. some of my favourite additions for summer are:

- passionfruit coulis filling with a coconut buttercream coconut 🥥🌴
- blueberry compote filling with a lemon drizzle 🫐🍋
- cinnamon and brown butter filling with cream cheese frosting 🧁🥐

or even just jam and buttercream… you really can’t go wrong

after the most wonderful 4 months with little man i’m happy to announce my books are back open for orders 🥰🥰

i’ll still be taking limited orders as there’s only so much i can do with a clingy baby and 30 seconds a day to myself 🤣 but keep an eye out because i’ll be prebaking batches of cupcakes ready for collection 😋🍰
