Hello to all our lovely friends and customers 👋
We've been a little quiet here recently and so I wanted to give you all an update.
We've made the very difficult decision to stop providing our services full time. Very long story short, we have been so incredibly lucky to have wonderful customers that have kept us really busy and we are so grateful for that - but to maintain the hours that are required to earn a living, while also dealing with constantly increasing costs, has had too much of an impact on the precious time available to spend with our family.
I've been so grateful to you all for allowing us to be so successful, it's been really difficult to decide that it is the right time to move on to the next chapter.
That said, we will be popping up for the occasional bottomless brunch and will be available some weekends for party bookings, so you haven't completely seen the last of us - we would miss you all too much to say bye completely! And if you have a booking in with us, we will of course be honouring that ❤️
Slice of Elegance was born during the first lockdown when myself (Cheri) and my sister (Abbie) enjoyed preparing an afternoon tea at home for VE Day so much that it got us thinking.... and before we knew it, we were delivering Afternoon Tea seven days a week to some amazing customers all over Berks, Bucks and beyond! It really was like a dream come true. The privilege of being able to connect loved ones during a time where it wasn't possible to see each other, is something that we will truly never, ever forget - it felt so special to be able to help create nice memories during a time that was so isolating and hard for so many.
From there it just went from strength to strength, orders for afternoon tea for one and two turned in to orders for 100+ as we all started reconnecting and celebrating together again. We added buffets and bottomless brunches to our offering and our amazing customers, again, gave us so much support that we couldn't even accept all the bookings that were coming in, just incredible. We've loved loved LOVED providing our special event offerings through all the celebrations... Christmas, Easter, Valentines, the Jubilee, Halloween and so many more.
We are SO PROUD of what we have achieved.
Despite being so busy, we have decided that now is the right time to move on to other projects that will allow us to spend more precious time with our families.

Watch out for our pop up weekends where we'll fire up the oven to get those scones baking every now and then 🍰
