And honestly, I haven't posted in a week. A whole week!

As always, I'm so grateful for your patience over the school holidays. The juggling act of two kiddies and a small business is something else... but I do love it ✌️

Now, about this beauty...

I'm a little bit in love.

We all know how much I adore a Lambeth design (I'll try not to go on about it too much more, promise), but a Lambeth cake filled with colour? That's a bit special.

So, for all my couples who have been chatting with me lately and wondering whether to embrace colour... consider this your sign.

Colour ♡

Probably one of the hardest decisions for couples... a cake with a pop of colour or a striking all white. Truth is, they'll both look beautiful!

There are certain designs though, that really shine with pops of colour and I think C & Ms cake is the perfect example. Their palette of n**e, champagne, white & turquoise gave us the dreamiest base to work from, so we leant into every detail with soft touches of colour throughout.

Proof that colourful cakes don’t have to mean bold or overpowering, they can still feel refined and romantic. (Although if vibrant, statement colour is your thing… you already know I’m fully here for it)

Not your average wedding cake.

This two-tier oval beauty is a design I’d been dreaming up for a while. So when a Wuthering Heights inspired brief came in, I knew it was finally time to bring it to life. (Thanks to & .weddings.events for trusting the vision!)

So let’s talk cake shape… maybe square, heart, rectangular or, my new favourite, oval. It's perfect if you want a subtle twist on a classic. A timeless design but still want something that feels a little more uniquely yours!

I am so in love with these shots at the beautiful - the perfect cake setting.

These images capture a few thoughtful details to consider when choosing where to display your cake:

SPACE – Make sure there’s enough room behind the table for your cosy cake cutting moment together, as well as space in front for guests to gather and celebrate with you.

BACKDROP – Keep it intentional. Nothing too busy, we want the cake to shine! Look for beautiful architectural features, soft draping or fresh florals (you know I can’t resist florals!)

LIGHTING – Soft, natural light is always a winner… hello dreamy photos!

STYLING – A favourite topic of mine. A few carefully chosen decor pieces that complement your cake’s design and colours go a long way.

Overall, the goal is to create a setting where your cake feels effortlessly framed, ready for its moment ✨

One of those small wedding tips that makes a big difference.

Last week was lush. A beautiful venue, super talented (and so very lovely) suppliers and the magic that you see in these photos created to give you a little bit of wedding inspo ✨️

One of my favourite moments of 2025 🤍

The bridal party gathered around during setup. Chatting baking, talking cakes, smiling, laughing. Such a small moment, but one I don't think I'll ever forget.

Anyone who knows me well knows I’m not the most outgoing or confident person - never have been, probably never will be. But ask me about cakes, weddings or the lush creatives in this industry and something lights up inside me. I am in my happy place, in my element and I'd happily, confidently share my cake passion with the world!

I love love and I love people. And honestly, that’s what this beautiful industry is all about. This is where I’ll be 🤍

Designing and dreaming ✨️

As I'm sketching designs for your summer weddings, I can't help but reminisce back to when the wondeful human that is and I popped this flowery little beauty in a basket and voilà! Then adds her incredible styling 👌 A reminder that the most beautiful work comes from a collaboration and that doing something a little bit different can create magic.

I still (many months on) cannot get over how beautiful this shoot was and if this is your wedding vibe, here is some inspiration for you! From an incredible setting , to pastel colour schemes, delicate table settings, not to mention, the lushest team of suppliers. you absolutely nailed it, your English country garden brief was just perfect and the day was so lush to be a part of ♡
