Last night we enjoyed the Made In Sheffield awards where we get to shout about how proud we are to making products in Sheffield. For any manufacturer here, especially one with heritage roots such as our business, being part of this collective is such an amazing thing. To see other local businesses champion manufacturing as well as be part of this city’s manufacturing culture is fantastic.
A lovely event all round, we surprised the outgoing Made in Sheffield steering committee, Charles Turner with an award which really doesn’t give him all the credit he deserves for being the voice of our manufacturing region. In his words, “let’s tell the world it’s made in Sheffield”. For the last 18 months , it’s been an honour to be part of this committee.
Brilliant speech by about how they are proud of their Sheffield roots and this definitely shows in a lot of the work they have produced. Their current success with Adolescence has really shone a spotlight on them and it was so lovely to hear of their success.
All in all, proud to be a Sheffielder and proud of my manufacturing roots.
