Planning Permission granted for 8 new homes in Bedale, North Yorkshire
Robinson Developments purchased the redundant former Bedale Health Centre in 2023, which had moved to a newly built facility nearby. The land is a strategic brownfield site located a 5-minute walk from the town centre, on a key linear gateway entrance into Bedale. Planning took 11 months, with negotiations between our planning team at Preston Baker and North Yorkshire Council to create a scheme that will provide much-needed housing within easy reach of the town centre, resulting in a finished development that will blend nicely with its historic surroundings and adjacent to the conservation area.
The development will consist of four 2-bedroom and four 3-bedroom semi-detached homes, featuring rear gardens and parking. Externally, the houses will be constructed of red brick with a mix of red pantiles and slate-style roofs, chimney stacks, and solar panels. These homes are ideal for those looking to get on the property ladder, young families, and downsizers who desire the convenience of town centre amenities within walking distance.
