I’ve not done any bakes for a while - this week I did a Victoria sponge with apricots, apricot jam and buttercream. Then for another change I whizzed up a nice chocolate sponge.

Ohhh my poor waistline - it’s Christmas- diet will start in January 😂😂😂

I’ve had a busy day baking for the chapel fundraiser tomorrow.

Cooked breakfast being served (with a smile!) from 10am and we will be there until around 2pm. There will also be a selection of cakes available - once they are gone - they’re gone! Pop in for a cuppa! All in aid of Carew Wesley chapel funds.

Carew Church Hall (the youth club).

From garden to jar - homemade strawberry jam. Lovely on scones or in a cake - I wish we could have strawberries in the garden all year round!

I’ve had a few failed attempts at jam making - but when it goes wrong you’ve just got to roll your sleeves up and have another go!
