I get lots of messages, almost daily, asking for a quote for their cake. Every cake maker prices their cakes differently and here's how I price mine:
When you are ordering your cake, we will discuss the design, the size, whether it'll be a buttercream/ganache or fondant cake, whether I'll be making models/edible images or if I'm buying premade cake toppers, what flavour you'd like and the finer details.
All of this is then taken into consideration and I give a final price based on several factors:
*The length of time it'll take me to make your cake. Time is money. Most cakes take me around 4-5 hours, some cakes take me 8+ hours, so you aren't just paying for a cake, you're paying for my time.
*Complexity of design. Some cakes take a lot of skill, whereas others are simple. More complex= more costs.
*The cost of ingredients and non-consumables. Many people see cakes as just sugar, butter, eggs and flour, but it's much more than that and have you seen the price of eggs and butter lately? π My most popular sized cake costs me between Β£22-Β£35 and that's just to make it. That's not including handmade models and toppers etc.
I spend hours making a cake specifically to your requirements. It isn't a mass produced repeated design sitting on a shelf, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting a supermarket cake for a celebration, I've done it π but, if you want something special the price will reflect that.
I've had messages before from people asking for cakes with several handmade models (these take hours) edible images, rainbow colours, hand painted designs etc and expect it for Β£40-Β£50 π«£ On average, my cakes cost anywhere between Β£80-Β£150+ and around Β£220-250+ for tiered cakes
On that note... I'm almost fully booked for the remainder of 2026, if you'd like a quote for a cake, send me a message ππ§π°
