Whilst I’m totally loving my full time job, I just NEED to satisfy the urge to make pretty things 🥰

🚨 Please read! 🚨

For the past few months I have only been taking weekend orders however now is the time I close my books for good!

Cawston Cakery was always started as a bit of a side project, a little bit of fun, a little bit of sanity during the lockdowns, and a little bit of a creative outlet.

I’ve met so many amazing people, I’ve shared highs and lows, I’ve made cakes for baby showers, gender reveals and then made that baby’s first birthday cake. I’ve had the chance to indirectly celebrate (quiet literally) the sweetest moments of your lives.

It’s been fun. Stressful. It’s come at a cost. In the summer months I’ve had to switch my whole working pattern and essentially work nights (and days too, thanks kids!!)

But it’s time to hang up that apron! 👩‍🍳

As most of you know I have worked in architecture my entire adult life and whilst I have been freelancing on the side on occasions, it’s time to dip my feet right back in and head back into the world of construction project management. And I have been offered the most amazing job!!!

It’s been great. I won’t miss the the stained hands and oven burns though 👋

I still have a few existing orders booked in - these are not affected in the slightest as my start date is august - however I will not be taking ANY new orders on from here on in.

If you require any assistance or want a recommendation for another local baker… I have plenty so please get in touch!
