I love a very personal cake that is made for the birthday person in mind. The brief for this one was "Keiren is turning 30 and loves Pikachu, Star Wars, his electric guitar and keyboard plus he goes to a space themed cafe called Area 51", yep I can put all that on his cake.

For Cassim and Zenab who order many cakes from me year in and year out. You have to thank these loyal customers for helping you with your little business don't you? I made chocolate, cappuccino and almond layers with corresponding buttercream.

I missed Ian's birthday as we were on holiday. He doesn't mind though as long as he has cake at some point so I did it the weekend after. Vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream. Airbrushed pattern on the sides then lots of 100's and 1000's for decoration.

I hope I got this one right. Jayne has a chocolate orange cake every year from me for her birthday, she just loves them. Her Mum asked for something fancy for Jayne's 40th but when I spoke to Jayne her words were "I know Mum wants to get me something big and fancy but I just want my usual chocolate orange cake". So I did her usual chocolate orange cake but added a daisy chocolate wrap, hand made edible daisies , chocolate orange pieces and for some height, a silver basket with edible daisies and leaves.

Another 'Lambeth' style buttercream cake, this one for Faith's 30th. Heart shaped chocolate sponge with the colour scheme her mother-in-law chose, orange and dark pink.

A thank you cake from me to Michelle, she gives me the most cake orders every year, year in and year out. Her favourite red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream and red edible accents.

Noreen just loves my lemon drizzle cake so that's what I made her for her birthday. Cream and teal colour scheme with non edible flowers and edible butterflies and gold lace leaves.

Liam asked for a chocolate sponge (I added chocolate chunks in the batter) with chocolate buttercream and Cadbury's chocolate buttons and wispers on top. I did this but added some blue buttercream and candles for his 15th birthday.

The colour of this photo is far too saturated, it was definitely baby pink and blue with purple Lego bricks and edible bow as that's what Ella asked for. It took weeks to make them all, about eight every day with my little Lego mould.
