An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Navy FA in the search for a new Finance & Administration Officer

The Royal Navy Football Association is seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to join our team as a Finance & Administration Officer. This exciting part-time job (27 hours per week) offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to play a key part in supporting the growth of football across the Royal Navy, while also managing essential financial processes. The successful candidate will coordinate development programmes, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure the smooth administration of competitions, alongside overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for sport, who can thrive in a dynamic and rewarding environment supporting football within the Royal Navy.

The RNFA operates as a Charity with the main objectives of growing participation, promoting diversity, and regulating football within the Royal Navy to ensure it is accessible and enjoyed by all. The organisation is based at HMS Temeraire, Burnaby Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO12HB. Yesterday we hosted our Eastern Region 6-a-Side Tournament at Goals Portsmouth βš“βš½

A fantastic event with 13 teams taking part, including 3 female teams, showcasing great football and even better support across the region.

Teams represented:
πŸ”Ή HMS Sultan
πŸ”Ή HMS Collingwood
πŸ”Ή HMNB Portsmouth
πŸ”Ή SURFLOT
πŸ”Ή HMS Dauntless
πŸ”Ή HMS Sterling Castle
πŸ”Ή Royal Marines Band

Alongside female players from across the country.

It was brilliant to see so many ships, units, and establishments coming together for a great day of football and networking.

The top two teams from each group progressed to the semi-finals:
πŸ† Sultan 1s
πŸ† HMS Dauntless 1s
πŸ† Sultan 2s
πŸ† Sultan 3s

Congratulations to HMS Sultan 3s, who came out 3–2 winners against Sultan 1s in a brilliant final πŸ‘

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the event such a success, especially referee Hugh Doyle, LPT Paul Sykes for officiating, and all the volunteers who helped organise and run their teams throughout the day.
