The cafe is now closed awaiting the opening by the new owners around Easter time. However on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 28th, 29th and 30th we are selling off much of the contents of the cafe. This includes a large counter, plates, side plates, mugs, dishes, cutlery tables and chairs. a highchair and much more. Please come along and have a look it should be of particular interest to anybody needing larger volume of items, but everybody welcome.

Today I have fantastic news, a lovely lady called Sarah, and her partner, are going to be taking over Purdies and it will stay a cafe/restaurant. She has promised to keep serving our breakfasts that you all love so much but there are also changes planned which I think you will all love. They will also be bringing in a much needed large Barista coffee machine so service will be quicker. Lots of changes, new and exciting times. Please, please support Sarah in her new venture, come and meet her and let her know how lovely all the people around here are. The changes should be happening within the next couple of weeks.

We are sorry to have to announce that Chris and I will be retiring next Saturday, 25th March and as it stands at the moment the cafe will be closing as nobody has come forward to take it over. We will be holding a gift fare and tabletop sale on March 28th, 29th and 30th so please come along and see if there is anything you would be interested in and we will also be selling off all the contents of the cafe which will include fridges, freezers and other catering appliances. Please contact us if you need any information. We will however continue doing outside catering and celebration cakes so this website will be available with our ongoing contact details. Thanks to everybody who has supported us over the last five years it's been great to meet so many of you.

Unfortunately we are going to be closed for the remainder of today, tomorrow and should be back as usual about 10ish Thursday morning. Unfortunately our fan which runs power to our cookers has gone down and we have ordered a replacement. It will arrive tomorrow and be installed Thursday morning. We are so sorry but this is beyond our control. Thanks for your understanding
