This weekend we had the joy of creating a special cake for a young man who loves all things sport — and we made sure his birthday treat matched his energy.

Inside, it was pure indulgence: a rich chocolate sponge with layers of smooth chocolate frosting. On the outside, we kept things light with a silky vanilla buttercream finish, giving the perfect canvas for the real showstopper — handmade fondant accents featuring all his favourite sports.

Our 10-inch chocolate celebration cake was crafted especially for a beautiful saree ceremony. Rich chocolate layers were filled with smooth chocolate frosting, then finished in a silky vanilla buttercream for a classic, timeless look.

To honour the occasion, the cake was dressed in a fondant saree inspired by the celebrant’s own attire, complete with hand‑crafted fondant jewellery—every bangle, necklace, and detail shaped and painted by hand. A meaningful tradition, captured in edible art.
