From weddings to birthdays, CakeArtCreations designs delicious centrepieces that make your celebrations memorable Please note most of our comissions are custom and uniquely made, all in a 5* professional kitchen, fully insured by professional qualified designers. We do offer a very basic commercial based cake starting at £40. We still offer made to order cream and afternoon teas, plus our delicious brownies via our online booking system

✨ 90 years young! ✨

A special birthday cake for Roy’s 90th birthday, celebrating this wonderful milestone in style. 🥂🎂

A delicious Genoese sponge filled with jam conserve, finished with a smooth buttercream coating and decorated in a sophisticated combination of black, gold and white.

Gold macarons, black and gold spheres, delicate gold detailing and a personalised “Roy 90” topper bring the whole design together for a stylish 90th birthday celebration.

And there was an extra little connection with this cake for me — Roy’s party was held on the same date as my birthday! 🎂🥂 So it was lovely to be creating a cake for such a special milestone on my own birthday too. ❤️

Happy 90th Birthday, Roy! I hope you had a fantastic celebration surrounded by family and friends. 🥂

🦖🌋 A ROAR-SOME 5th BIRTHDAY! 🌋🦕

This one was definitely a dinosaur-sized cake! 🦖

A bespoke 10” dinosaur-themed cake created especially for Ray’s 5th birthday, packed with prehistoric details — dinosaurs, palm trees, rocks, a lake, jungle greenery and, of course, a volcano with a little extra magic! 🌴🌋🦕

I added a red light on top of the volcano which can be switched on for an extra fiery effect — a fun little surprise to bring the cake to life! ❤️🌋

I love creating cakes where there are little details to discover, and this one was certainly a fun one to make.

💍 61 years of love, laughter & memories… 💍

A very special cake delivered today to San Giovanni’s to celebrate John & Eileen’s 61st Wedding Anniversary. ❤️

A deep 6” Genoese sponge filled with delicious buttercream and jam, covered in smooth sugarpaste and finished with delicate handmade details, pearls, soft blush tones and a beautiful floral topper.

I love how elegant and timeless this one turned out — understated, but still with plenty of detail to make their celebration extra special. 🌸

This commission was a very special one, created especially for my eldest grandson’s 7th birthday party. 💙

Having only recently returned from holiday, I had a very limited amount of time to create his tiered Pokémon cake, matching cupcakes and shortbread biscuits.

Normally, I would hand-model all of the characters and details in sugar, but with time against me, I decided to use Pokémon toys on the cake instead. Sometimes you just have to work with the time you have! 😂

I was really pleased with how everything came together, but most importantly, I got the thumbs up from my grandson — and that’s all that really mattered! 🥰👍

Although, as he was very keen to point out, his help making the volcanic rocks definitely enhanced the overall finish! 🌋😂

I think I have to agree with him!

🧸❤️ A VERY SPECIAL 18TH BIRTHDAY CAKE ❤️🧸

How adorable is this Jellycat-inspired birthday cake, created for a very special 18-year-old! 🎂✨

A bespoke design featuring the sweetest little bunny, a mini matching cake and plenty of those gorgeous little details that make a celebration cake truly personal. 🐰❤️

And underneath all that sugarcraft goodness was a deep, rich chocolate cake, filled with chocolate spread and luxurious chocolate ganache buttercream. 🍫🤎
Absolutely DELICIOUS!

When the birthday boy is the man you married, and you’re trying to make his birthday cake without him knowing, there’s one golden rule… KEEP IT SMALL! 😂🎂

And when your birthday boy has a love of birds (yes, the feathered variety… I think hes a little too old for the other kind! 😂🐦), the design choice was easy!

I decided on this little bird feeder, complete with some rather colourful feathered visitors. 🐦🌿

Inside was one of John’s favourite flavours — a classic lemon drizzle cake, filled with delicious lemon curd, lemon frosting and finished with a layer of white chocolate ganache. 🍋🤍

And because a birthday celebration is always better when there’s enough cake to share, I also made a batch of chocolate cupcakes for the family to take home and enjoy. 🧁

I have to say, I really enjoyed making this one! The design was inspired by a post I spotted several months ago, and I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to put my own spin on it.

🎨🎣 A very special shared 70th birthday cake! 🎂

I absolutely loved creating this cake for Jayne & Richard, especially as I was given a completely free rein — with just one request… incorporate their hobbies! ❤️

So their passions became the inspiration for the design, complete with fishing rod, paint palette, brushes, easel and a little wooden signpost reading:

Surrounded by a peaceful little riverside scene, complete with reeds, stones and daisies. 🌿🌼

The cake serves around 60 portions and is a Genoese sponge with raspberry conserve, vanilla buttercream and rich white chocolate ganache. 🍰

It will take pride of place at their celebration in their beautiful home and garden, surrounded by family and friends. 🥂🌿

✨ FROM AI IMAGE TO REAL CAKE ✨

This is an interesting one to share…

My customer sent me an AI-generated image as inspiration for the cake they wanted — and alongside it you can see the real cake I created at CakeArt Creations.

AI can produce the most beautiful cake designs, but there is one rather important difference…

AI doesn’t actually have to make them! 😂

It doesn’t have to work out whether those delicate wings will stand securely, whether the flowers can actually be made from sugar, how the decorations will attach to the cake, how everything will cope with gravity, or whether the finished design can be safely transported.

And some of those impossibly fine details that AI creates simply don’t translate exactly into sugar.

So when I’m given an AI image, I don’t simply “copy” it. I have to interpret it and turn the fantasy into something that can genuinely be created by hand.

For this beautiful three-tier celebration cake, I recreated the soft blush-pink palette, delicate fairy wings, cascading handcrafted flowers, fine floral detailing and elegant piped work — while adapting elements of the original concept to make them achievable in a real cake.

And I have to say, I’m incredibly pleased with the result. 💕

After more than 35 years in cake decorating, this is where experience really matters. Knowing what will work, what needs adapting and how to retain the feel of an inspirational image while creating something completely individual for the customer is all part of commissioning a bespoke cake.

✨ AI may create the inspiration — but a cake decorator has to make it real. ✨
