Second attempt @ trifle, considerably better. Auntie C's input helped. Why is it the simple things seem more complex? Still..... does not look good when dished up! Lol.

In my defence I've never made a trifle......was supposed to b an easy & simple dessert. Remembered the sherry, then realised missy & lil miss wouldn't b able to have any. Think I need to call a friend next time, get some tips. Is trifle traditional at Christmas? I hated it when I was a child........ok now I'm rambling.

Been testing out my food mixer. My red velvets were lovely! My lightly whipped dbl cream for my trifle became heavily whipped within seconds! Hahaa

Had my Food hygiene kitchen inspection today. Drum roll please ……………ba-da-boom-ba-da -bing We got a 5 rating! I am so pleased! Thanx to Mr for ur help & support.

Finally cut the two tier cake. It's very moist. Quite surprised considering it's about 10 days old! Lovely with a cuppa.
