Sometimes "good luck!" doesn't quite say everything you want it to.

A new job. An exam. A driving test. A big move. A new adventure. Or simply doing something that feels a little scary.

Whatever they're facing, a few words of encouragement can be the little reminder they need that someone is firmly in their corner.

So this week's Say It Better is all about finding something a little more meaningful to write inside a good luck card.

Save this one — you never know when someone you love might need a little cheering on. ✨

Anyone else starting to feel that almost-autumn feeling? 🍂

The evenings getting a little cosier, a good book waiting to be opened, a cup of tea nearby... and absolutely no desire to leave the house. 😂

"I live in two worlds, one is a world of books."

This one's for the readers who disappear into a story and don't really want to come back.

A lovely card for birthdays, book lovers, or that friend who's happiest surrounded by an ever-growing TBR pile.

Are you ready for cosy reading season yet, or are you hanging onto summer? 📚☀️🍂

Did you know?

Making a wish has become one of those little traditions that feels inseparable from birthdays.

We close our eyes, think of something we'd love, blow out the candles... and make sure we don't tell anyone what we wished for. 🤫

But wishing doesn't stop at the birthday cake. From shooting stars and fountains to the words we write inside birthday cards, we've found all sorts of ways to wish for good things, both for ourselves and for the people we love.

Perhaps that's why "Wishing you a Happy Birthday" has remained such a familiar message. 💌

Some traditions are simply too lovely to lose.

With International Cat Day just around the corner, it seemed like the perfect excuse to shine a spotlight on one of our most popular feline designs.

"Another year... another wrinkle."

Whether they're a proud cat parent, a fan of quirky humour, or simply appreciate a birthday card that makes them laugh, this one has been a favourite for good reason.

✨ One of our bestselling cat cards.

Do you know someone who'd appreciate this card? 😸

Birthday candles have been part of celebrations for hundreds of years.

While traditions have changed over time, blowing out the candles and making a wish remains one of the most recognisable birthday moments around the world.

It's amazing how some of the simplest traditions continue to bring so much joy, generation after generation. 🤍

Sometimes the most meaningful cards aren't for birthdays or big celebrations.

Sometimes they're simply to let someone know they're being thought about.

A few heartfelt words can offer comfort, encouragement or simply remind someone they're not alone.

Our Say It Better series is here to help when you're not quite sure what to write.

Save this post for the next time someone could use a little kindness.
