Best CPD ever this weekend!! πŸ€“πŸ‘€πŸ’₯🫢🀀

An early morning road trip Saturday morning to Whitley Bay to visit .in.the.bay, which has been on my bucket list for some time! Amazing patisserie and coffee brekkie and wicked staff who were just so lovely to chat too and were so kind in giving me time first thing on a busy Saturday morning. A fab bunch of bakers!

Then a sourdough baking course today , where I could enjoy even more of a geek out enjoying good company and baking some fab country sourdough to take home! Thanks for letting me ask loads of questions.

Bread roll call for this week....country wilds sourdough, fig and walnut sourdough and sourdough demi baguettes!!

It's really quite hard balancing two loaves on your arm and taking a photo I realised πŸ˜†

All made with flour and only using flour, water and salt at the heart of all the bread. Use your head and choose Real Bread πŸ‘Š

It's a work out rolling and laminating by hand, but they smell, look and taste wicked. Apparently they score a whopping 200/10 according to him! πŸ˜†

It was rather warm this week but bread and pastries came out singing!!! 🎢πŸ’₯πŸ‘€

Thanks to for the inspiration a while ago to give Blueberry and Custard brioche a bash! πŸ‘Š Using patisserie flour to make these πŸ‘Œ

Rosemary and sea salt focaccia was lovely and light and airy. Malt tinned loaves along with Yorkshire Country Sourdough and Cheddar & Spring Onion sourdough made the bakery smell epic all morning.

One very happy baker and her young bakery assistant demolished well earned Friday night drinks and snacks at the pub...whilst I lost at Uno repeatedly! 🀦

Behind the scenes shaping snaps

My 8 year old son smashed capturing some shots of my shaping the sourdough on Thursday afternoon, despite working quickly with the heat πŸ‘ŠπŸ’₯

It's the best part when you can just get into a rhythm and know it's time for a long cold overnight ferment for the dough and your work is pretty much done πŸ₯³

Some small tweaks, but overall lovely flavours from my trial tumeric, caramelised onion and Nigella seed sourdough and breakfast fruity sourdough with raisins, orange zest and cinnamon.

Kudos is still closed this week. Lots of exciting future planning and meetings sorted for later this week, so apologies I'm not open.

Lots of tasty treats were consumed whilst I was on holiday last week, but this week I need to sit down with my laptop and do some other geeky planning πŸ€“ (sadly with the distinct lack of baked goods and sun!)

Kudos will be back next week for collections as usual.

Wicked bake and lots of lovely goodies on offer this week

Country wilds sourdough
Apricot and hazelnut sourdough
Spelt tinned loaves with rye flakes, linseed and sesame
Maple, pecan croissant swirls
Cheese & courgette scones with a cayenne pepper dusting

Think I need to get my 8 year old helping with the photos more often. He did a fab job! β™₯️

All made with flour. No nasties, mixers or preservatives. Nothing but time, flour water and salt at the basis of all my baking πŸ‘Š

Lovely little haul of goodies this week! Homemade plum jamaretti and crispy chilli and honey focaccia stealing the show today! πŸ‘€ ⭐ Will be making that focaccia combo again really soon using flour 🀀

No nasties, preservatives or chemical enhancers used. Just flour, water and salt are the basis of all my baked goodies

Absolute blast of a bake this week!! Made a shed load of goodies and loved a good natter with my customers in the 🌞

Wild garlic, roasted red pepper and olive focaccia slabs
Seeded sourdough
50/50 sourdough
Sourdough baguettes πŸ‘€
Homemade chocolate hazelnut brioche knots

The baguette was devoured in seconds with lashings of salty butter 🧈🀀
