Hi Everyone

You’ve probably noticed by now that I’ve been rather quiet of late. Unfortunately I’ve been diagnosed with a life threatening illness and so life recently has been rather full with continuous hospital appointments, tests etc. This isnt going to change for quite some time & so I’ve made the decision to step away from the kitchen completely & focus on my health and spending quality time with my family

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your constant support & friendship over the last few years. I’ve had the most amazing journey creating for you all, meeting so many new faces & building friendships. Without you guys Cooks Cakes wouldn’t have been possible ❤️ & I am truly grateful 🙏🏻 But now it’s time for a new journey

I love the colour combo on Stitch cakes 😊👌

The birthday girl has a regular vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling. Finished in Stitch colours with piped details, edible gold leaf, edible prints of tropical flowers & Stitch himself.

Taking orders now for this years Christmas cakes. Spaces are limited & it’s a first come, first serve basis

So what do you get?

An 8” traditional rich fruit cake with the option of it being fed brandy for a few weeks. Wrapped in marzipan and covered in either traditional royal icing OR fondant if you prefer

You can also opt for this in sponge if fruit cake isn’t your thing.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering

All cakes will be delivered on 22nd & 23rd December

Today is National Teddybear Day. This is a tiny cake topper that I made some time ago for a baby shower cake. Cute huh 😍

Have just delivered this beauty to the birthday girl herself. She was absolutely over the moon with it. Rasha is originally from Jordan hence the theme of the cake. The sand in Jordan is almost red & was quite tricky to match.

Rasha has a lemon sponge with my zesty lemon curd & vanilla buttercream filling and a fondant covering.

Fun fact about me - I’m a book worm! I can read a book in an afternoon providing I don’t have any interruptions 😜

I think David is the same 👌😊 although he can’t read this stack of books 📚 as it’s all cake. As he enters retirement I’m sure he’ll have lots of quality reading time
