1st Mourne Brownies Newcastle

To parents of girls who have entered P7.
I sent a text to all of you to ask you to confirm email address so that I could send you the information on 1st Mourne guides. I have heard from a few but just incase some have changed mobile nos here is another reminder.
Please send me emails and then I can forward the notice from Siobhan. We hope all the girls will think of continuing their guiding journey by joining the guides.
Also we hope to have get together for all your girls before they officially leave us but as there are 17 that would break current covid regulations. Watch this space for a Saturday afternoon event once rules allow.

Hi folks tomorrow we should have been going on our outing to Go2020 but unfortunately as I told you it is postponed to March 6th 2021

There is a virtual programme of activities tomorrow from 2pm

Hi folks

Hope you are all still ok and finding plenty of activities to do

On the adventure at home Just look at www.girlguidinguk.org.uk/what-we-do/adventures-at-home/for-ages-7-10 there are some activities that we would have been doing at our weekly meetings. Invent a gadget, bottle mansions and first aid in the field.

Have a go at them and keep a list of what you have done and then when we get back I will be able to see if there s enough to give you your badges which we would have earned.

Hi folks
Hope you are all OK and surviving being at home. Remember by using your books that you can do any of the interest badges that you would like and send details of what you have done to me or put on facebook.
I'm going to put some activities on here for you to try at home. Again keep a note of what you have done
1. Learn to strike a match and use it to light a tealight. Carefully only do with an adult and strike away from you.
2. Using a plastic bottle (70cl size) cut off the top about 1/2 way down (ask adult to help)Make 5 tubes from 5 sheets of newspaper making sure you put little sellotape to stop them unrolling.Put them into your bottle until it is about 3/4 full. You might need tio make some extra. Cut off any paper sticking above your bottle. Poke drinking straws in any holes . Now you have a home for minibeasts so put outside and see what beasts come to your home.

Well done to all brownies tonight who planned, rehearsed and took to the stage to perform their plays, dancing and storytelling.

You were all fantastic 🤩 what a talented group of girls you all are 🏆

Please bring books next week to get signed.
