We had a wonderful fayre yesterday, the turn out and the support was fantastic! 💜💚

There'll be a little break now before resuming in the spring, if you love our fayre and want it to continue and progress then please get involved in the meantime!
If you'd like to become a volunteer or even to hold a space on our potential committee then you can let us know 😁- I'll be arranging brain storming meet ups in the interim. With enough momentum we can support our independent makers and put Skewen on the map for years to come! 😍🌍🌈

Just a little update coming your way 😊...
Our Christmas fayre is next Sunday 22nd December at 11am-3pm 🌲⛄❄
If anyone has been following since the very beginning, lots of people in the local area thought that Skewen would benefit from a little monthly market, supporting local people and giving independent businesses a chance to sell their wares without extortionate overheads.

It's been hit and miss, as many events are! Summer was beautiful and busy, but perhaps a combination of weather and other commitments has left the last two events quite quiet. We're really hoping for as much support as we can get for our Christmas event! 😊

I'll be taking a break after Christmas to reassess and hopefully get some volunteers on board, swap ideas and try to grow the fayre. I'm still only one person, a solo parent with two jobs outside of this project and plentiful other commitments myself and although I may sometimes look like I know what I'm doing, I really don't. I just know that I felt desperate for the state of things and wanted to help make a positive change in some way.
We've had some amazing feedback, so thankyou all. It's still only small but fingers crossed with more involvement and brainstorming from you, it can become wonderful!

We're hoping to run a Rugby World Cup 🏈🏆 themed raffle at our Christmas event, with goodies courtesy of my sister upon her Christmas return from her life in Tokyo. 🎌

So come along, say HELLO, Nadolig Llawen and chat with and support our fantastic collective of stallholders! 😘 Decorate some Christmas cupcakes and get some last minute goodies!

We're trying to make arrangements for our Christmas Produce Fayre at Skewen Memorial Hall 🌲 😀

Some of our loyal and positively delightful stallholders will be taking some much needed time off over the Christmas period which will leave us a little sparse at the fayre!

If anyone would like to pop over and flog their wonderful wares at our Christmas event on December 22nd then please let us know 😙👍💚
