I still remember my very first macarons. They looked like an absolute disaster, made in a tiny studio apartment.

I still remember telling someone about my dream of selling assorted boxes with lots of different flavours… and hearing laughter.

“Who would ever buy them? You’d need at least 20 customers every single day just to sell everything.”

I still remember my very first orders. I was so desperate for feedback that I kept checking my phone every few minutes. When one customer didn’t message me, I couldn’t sleep that night. 😅

Plot twist… she’s still my customer today. She had simply forgotten to text me back.

And there’s actually another story behind this award…

I almost didn’t enter.

😱 I completely missed the delivery window because I didn’t see the delivery instructions in time. I was absolutely devastated.

But the incredible team at Guild of Fine Food managed to squeeze my macarons into the blind judging anyway, and I’ll always be grateful for that. ❤️

So at 4 a.m. we drove to London, handed over a plain, unbranded box exactly as instructed, and spent the day wandering around Borough Market together. It turned into one of those unexpectedly magical days that you’ll remember forever.

And now… here we are.

A Great Taste Award.

It’s hard to believe that the little disaster I made years ago in a tiny flat has brought me here.

Oh… and only TWO people guessed the winning flavour! 😄

I’m so happy matcha has finally become a trend.

I’ve loved it since my school days, long before it was everywhere. Back then, no one really understood my obsession with that “green drink”, and hardly anyone wanted to try it.

Now it’s on every café menu, and I genuinely love seeing more people discover just how good it is.

And yes, I’ll never say no to a great coffee or a glass of wine, but matcha will always have a special place in my heart. 💚
