🏆 FROM A LITTLE MARKET STALL TO TWO MANCHESTER FOOD & DRINK AWARD NOMINATIONS! 🏆

Honestly, I don’t quite know where to start! ❤️

Back in 2016, I was selling a couple of curries at a little local market. Never in a million years did I think I’d be up against some of Manchester’s best food businesses for an award, never mind TWO!

I’m absolutely buzzing that Patel’s Pies has been nominated for:

🏆 BEST FOOD PRODUCER
🏆 BEST TAKEAWAY

Manchester born and bred, I grew up in Levenshulme and spent years on the scaffolding before taking a chance on my love of food.

I taught myself to cook, started Vaso Kitchen serving Indian street food, and during lockdown Patel’s Pies was born. Bringing my Indian and British heritage together – half curry, half pie! 🥧🔥

From markets and food festivals to lockdown takeaways, selling pies from a trailer at Manchester City and eventually opening my own little shop in Heaton Moor. What a journey!

It’s been a lot of long days, hard graft and figuring things out as I go, mostly as a one-man band. To get this recognition alongside Manchester’s best genuinely means the world.

And none of it would have happened without everyone who’s bought a curry, tried a pie, visited the shop or told a mate about us. Thank you! ❤️

We’ve had lots of people asking about our opening times, so here’s this week’s schedule!

As I’m at the final Take That concert at the Etihad on Wednesday, we’ll be open:

📅 Thursday 2nd July – Saturday 4th July
🕘 9:00am – 5:00pm

From then on, our regular opening hours will be:

📅 Wednesday – Saturday
🕘 9:00am – 5:00pm

Our opening weekend was absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start. Thank you so much to everyone who came along and supported us. We hope to see you all again this week!

Despite it being the hottest day on record, you guys didn’t disappoint. A huge thank you to everyone who came by, it really means a lot. We’re back again today from 9am to 5pm, or until we sell out. (I’ve brought more pies than yesterday 😬)

Patels Pie Shop is officially opening its doors on Friday 26th June at 9:00 AM at Heaton Chapel railway station!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with to bring the people of the Heatons the very best treats. Alongside our freshly baked pies and drinks, you’ll be able to enjoy famous cookies and doughnuts too!
